Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted Monday at 11:10 AM Paid Members Posted Monday at 11:10 AM Anyone else watching Evil Uno’s Mystery Wrestling? For those unaware Mystery Wrestling debuted in 2023. A show where you don’t know who you’re going to see, hence the Mystery. But events often fall around AEW shows and you’ll often see some familiar faces. Orange Cassidy showed up in London, and the show before that had some Death Riders. It leans very heavily into comedy so it’s not for everyone, but I went to their first London show, and had an absolutely fun time. Even bumping into (not literally) Wrestle Me’s Marc Haynes. They had another event last night which included current champion Johnny Mystery (Nitro/Morrison) defend his title and brought out a ref with an “IMAX” camera to film his match as Nolan intended. When they have a show they live stream on YouTube and Twitch, but once it’s over, you can only watch them if you’re a Patreon. Anyway as no-one was talking about it I thought I’d start a thread and see if anyone else watched, or maybe just made you aware of it for their next show at the end of September. Here’s where you can see some older shows and bits https://youtube.com/@mysterywrestling?si=XvEZMDoYJj2K0ria Quote
Chili Posted Monday at 11:23 AM Posted Monday at 11:23 AM Probably the only current promotion besides AEW that I give attention to. I need to catch up but the first 10 shows were delightful, and there either so real creative thought, or very silly ideas put into the comedy. This botch where a Sasquatch accidentally gets clattered on the head during a Inflatable Pool Tube Death Match never fails to amuse me. Especially with Nyla Rose absolutely losing her mind laughing. Chili Posted Monday at 11:46 AM Posted Monday at 11:46 AM All the shows open with a Four Way where the wrestlers are revealed in the ring via a cloak and those are stupid fun. One time it was four men in Spiderman costumes and another time it was a Wolfman, Dracula, A Mummy and a spooky Skeleton with The Mummy being so slow it missed spots or accidentally hit them. Just extremely fucking daft shit that is creative enough that you can't really hate it unless you take wrestling way too serious, in which case you are a massive loser, even a bigger loser than watching wrestling. RedTwoster Posted Monday at 12:03 PM Posted Monday at 12:03 PM Nyla Rose is fantastic on commentary, and while this is obviously a very specific kind of show that plays to her comedic strengths, I'd really love to see her get a chance to call a main AEW show or even ROH. I could see her being the kind of person who would have shone on Dark or Elevation in that role, and as part of a three person team I think she'd really add something. Quote

In that case there were envelopes taped around the building and you had to pin your opponent against the envelope, at which point you could open it to see if the pin counted. It's a bit of a trivia note because it was the undercard of the first Zack Sabre Jr-Bryan Danielsen match. Quote

The falls counts match in London was so much fun that I made my non wrestling fan daughter watch it who found it very entertaining when Spoiler The 24/7 title became the champion of the 24/7 title The use of CAW Red and Green from the WWE games was also inspired. Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted Monday at 03:29 PM Paid Members Posted Monday at 03:29 PM Mystery Wrestling is just fantastic. It feels like Chikara without the whole taking itself way too seriously and trying to be over clever. It's also peak 2026 wrestling that there's always social media clips of it floating around that need no context but just make people smile. One of those companies I'd love to see come back over for Liverpool in Feb to get to a show. Quote
NeverYield Posted Monday at 04:53 PM Posted Monday at 04:53 PM Mystery Wrestling is fucking comical. I've not caught up with it lately as much, but its an absolute hoot and I rate it. Quote
AshC Posted Monday at 09:56 PM Posted Monday at 09:56 PM The prisoner doing a runner is one of the best bits I've seen in a long time. Howling. Also, the fella who was seemingly unpinnable as his one arm was tied to a helium balloon and it kept lifting his shoulder up. 😂 Never seen a full show or match. Quote

Saw a clip of her just howling with laughter when the Sasquatch got hit over the head with a club, made my day and just rewatched it as her laugh is amazing!!! Quote
