If only Mondays count then so be it. My fault entirely Not sure if I messed up or there was a change at very short notice, but it turns out the Belgium came took place on Monday night after all so you can have that pick ruled as valid... which unfortunately doesn't do you any good. I'm afraid the other two have to be null and void else it'd set a bad precedent as I've no way of knowing if people have looked at the scores or not. You're in good company, since two other people also made their guesses in various shades of late this time. I understand some of you probably post around the same time as finalising your Fantasy League line-up, so during these breaks you're out of your usual routine, but nobody's ever suggested either in these threads or in a DM that we should take time off as well. If enough players want it then I'll put it to a vote, but any changes would only come into effect next season anyway since things are already in motion for this campaign. I've just made a dozen attempts to upload the table and ImgBB wasn't co-operating, so I had to remember one of my backup plans from five weeks ago. The nascent FPL Cup standings are quite minimalist; colour will be added when participants mathematically confirm progress to the knockouts. Because the algorithm used to decided the opening clashes was "Foggy's brain" we ended up with two blockbuster encounters between both last season's leading duo and the current top two. Although nobody made it into double figures, the former didn't disappoint as Vegeta bested ultimo by the odd point in 17 to keep the gap at the bottom down to four points from joint best performer Stinky Dad. TildeGuy also beat Gooner 8-6 to reduce the deficit at the summit to just three, but the early pacesetter was saved by the randomly selected "wildcard" fixture, which turned out to be the aforementioned match #7 in Brussels. Had the randomiser landed elsewhere, Tilde could've won 10-4 and taken the lead in the main competition. Elsewhere, surprisingly slim pickings for an international round, with only the stalemates in Belfast and at Europa Point generally proving fruitful, with too much optimism beforehand for goals actually being scored in Ljubljana as well. The non-Home Nations outcomes were a right mixed bag too. In the one club meeting, Liverpool's long-awaited victory in a women's Merseyside derby caught most of you out. A late change to the next round from what I was expecting to publish a week ago. All will be explained in the first post shortly, but just to let you know we're pausing the FPL Cup for a few weeks and doing a D2D this coming weekend after all. Quote

Were basically a youth team until they found their way into the Lowland League when it was created, and the top west "junior" teams at the time weren't keen on joining the senior Scottish football pyramid. I genuinely didn't know that! Thank goodness for the Cup and its ability to improve my knowledge of Scottish geography. Since this stemmed from a late change to the card, I forgot to mention in the blurb that the tie in Scotland can potentially go to extra time and penalties (the second of which we ignore), but the match south of the border will go to a replay if level after ninety minutes. But you all knew that already, right? 19 hours ago, Tim Healys Chutney Spoon said: Should add that I wasn't busy, just forgot! All right, I was just spitballing to try to figure out why three late sets of picks might've coincided with an international round, but if you simply forgot, Bent Wookie says they just didn't realise they hadn't hit "Submit Reply" (which has happened during ordinary weeks sometimes, to be fair) and Gooner only missed one game then I presume we're good to carry on as is.
