Do you follow the UK University League?

I don't follow any of the British leagues, apart from having a vague awareness of them.

The pitch used be on the Velodrome infield.

Just like the Milano Seamen.

Hereford and Celtic in one weekend topped off by the Jets, who were clearly rattled going into OT deciding to take the ball straight back and hand the game to the Packers, who looked awful for the first 45 minutes.

At least it's not 0-2 I guess.

Over the last 20 seasons, teams in college football in possession of the ball in the final 10 seconds of regulation were 1,046-1. And then...

The punchline is that they determined there was a second remaining on the clock so Vandy kicked the extra point to win by 4, having been a 3.5 point favourite. All time bad beat for those holding NC State tickets.

It's a big Week 4 in College Football with loads of ranked-on-ranked matchups, but your Disney+ recommendation of the week is a meeting between a couple of teams hotter than a stolen pistol that's just been fired, #4 Ole Miss @ #21 Florida (8:30pm).

Possibly the best QB in the nation (Ole Miss' Trinidad Chambliss) facing possibly the best RB in the nation (Jaden Baugh of Florida). Ole Miss potentially in a massive letdown spot after a huge win in a powder keg  last week (would turn into a TL;DR if I try to explain it all, you'll hear plenty about it on the broadcast if you watch!). Should be a good one.

(If you fancy something a little earlier, #1 Texas @ #14 Tennessee at 5pm wouldn't be a waste of your time either)

Edit: flag thrown for "simulating using the restroom"!

Told you it wouldn't be a waste of time.

How'd he get away with this?

When the ball is placed for the start of a play the offensive team usually drops back 10-15  yards for a huddle and then comes to the line to snap the ball.  The defence can stand anywhere up to the line of scrimmage. The Eagles didn't really have a proper huddle and they were at the line so TJ was perfectly entitled to stand there.

So a couple of things I was keen to avoid in making a weekly college football game recommendation were a) not recommending the same teams too often & b) being very careful to avoid recommending Alabama all the time. But honestly...

The best thing you're probably going to see on Disney+ this Saturday without staying up all night (or perhaps even if you do) is #7 Alabama @ #16 Mississippi State (5pm UK)

Something of a historic rivalry (State are the Bulldogs in need of training referenced in Bama's fight song, not modern nemesis Georgia), two electric sophomore QBs you'll likely be seeing on Sundays in 24 months, and one of the more unique atmospheres you'll find in sports (you'll fairly quickly ascertain why State are known colloquially as "CLANGA")

If you're particularly offended by multiple Bama recommendations, watch #3 Notre Dame @ North Carolina I guess...

Why does Disney+ make the live stuff so hard to find?  I nearly ended up watching an episode of Spider-man and his Amazing Friends instead.

Spidey wouldn't have turned it over so often.

I've literally just finished watching the game, having watched the first half then gone to a wedding reception then watched the second half after coming home. Weddings on college football Saturdays should be outlawed both sides of the Atlantic.

Mississippi State bringing a reserve RB into the game in garbage time and him being the nephew of Bama's starting RB is as college football as it gets, though.

Great taste in knitwear, too.

Your Week 6 College Football recommendation is one based primarily on the reasons I fell for CFB in a way I never have for the NFL - tradition, pageantry and truly intense rivalry. It'll be one of the great scenes of the season as #1 Texas meet Oklahoma in the Red River Shootout.

Always a neutral site game, taking place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas as part of the Texas State Fair festivities. Despite being on Texas soil, it's basically precisely halfway between the two schools. Crowd allocation is 50/50 too, and unlike the usual mix at US sporting events they split this one like a Wembley final over here - one end Longhorn burnt orange, one end Sooners crimson bifurcated at the 50 yard line. It's quite a sight from the air in the Texas sun.

Will it be much of a game...? Well JR's boys have been garbage on offense thus far and are now missing their starting left tackle to boot, but it's a rivalry game and they play it on grass not paper, so who knows!

Bears play the Packers on Sunday. It's an away game. It should kickoff at around 1800 UK time. Definitely a game I will make the effort to watch live. It's probably too soon to arrange a proper tribute for Mike Ditka. However the Americans and NFL films are usually very good at putting something together. What's the best way to see the pre-game show for this game?
