The only problem with my aforementioned logic on Cena just going “fuck it, Cena OUT” as real and human as it seemed… kind of takes away from Gunther eliciting a submission from him, a bit.

Oh for sure, I said in this or another thread that a lot of Cena's weirdness is straight up Vince emulation. Just with his own added oddness on top, Cody is the next level of that.

"Here's to the metrics of the evening" is such a Cena way to brag about making money for the company. He's gained far too deep a grounding sense of humility to just flat out tell everyone he's put big numbers on the board one last time. Instead he's tried to sneak it past us with a "those who came before us, those who'll come after us" routine, which really reinforces how selfless he actually is. 

I cant help feel they left money on the table by not fully unleashing Hollywood Cena as a smug, didactic prick during his heel run.

…. If you’re wearing chinos instead of a complete suit, does it matter if the jacket doesn’t match? Asking for about a hundred times I’ve been around lads wearing chinos.

Typically I would say no. But they at least need to compliment one another. There's probably not a jacket in existence that would compliment bright red chinos.
