I remember it having a number of pretty epic set pieces. Especially for a Transformers fan. What are people's opinion on this series? I'm making an effort to watch it all the way through. It starts of pretty well. Megs characterisation is a lot of fun and definitely hooks me in. Along with the Combiner story. Quote

The whole trilogy of Combiner Wars, Titans Return and Power of the Primes is quite fun and in my opinion gets better with each series. For some reason the trilogy doesn't get a lot love from other fans and I'm not sure why. As a G1 fan I got a kick out of it. Quote

I've been enjoying Furman and Wildman's podcast, so will attend the live one tomorrow. My mate is probably going to get the Generation Mechs book, so I'll sneak a look at it. Quote

LSM Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 I've been enjoying TF Nation as always. Came Friday and attended a few panels including James Roberts who was fascinating. Will be picking up his book today for sure. Bought the Legends Pass to meet Evan Michael Lee on the Friday as well. What a a nice guy. We chatted for nearly 15 minutes, top top bloke. I missed out on most of yesterday as I travelled to Comic Con Wales to meet Laurence Fishburne (another Transformers link) but made it back in time for Clubcon. I'm not usually fussed by Cosplayers apart from when I'm at TF Nation as I really appreciate the effort that goes into them and this year was no disappointment. Normally I duck out of the Matrix quiz due to it being so damn hard but I hung around for it and the new format made it fun even for someone like me. The Transformers None feature at the end was another fascinating find by Jim Sorenson into what potentially Transformers COULD have been. Yeah it could have been a lot different. Will be hanging around a bit for the morning today to have a look at the traders hall proper before coming home. All in all a good time had as always. Quote
davertfnewman Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 I've met James Roberts a few times before and he recognises my mate and I, so we went and bought his book. Will have to give it a read today. The problem with the quiz is that the person who compiles it wants to show he's the smartest guy in the room, so it's something I wouldn't even bother with even with having good knowledge. I've got to go on the Marvel Sunbow site and look through the Jeff Scott stuff. He's a weird one because he had a long career in animation writing but alongside his success created a lot of crap. Helped see off TMNT in the last two seasons. Hopefully will be a lot less busy this morning than it was yesterday where it was too hot, too loud, too busy and too smelly. Quote
