The message to him about not trying to make a play when there isn't a play to be made has been sent loud & clear by Coach Saban & several others since the bad injury, you'd hope it's been received. Whilst I don't doubt he could play this year (assuming there is a "this year"...) I'd imagine he sits a year behind Fitzpatrick to continue to heal.
