David
I have a feeling that Askren gets stopped. Not too sure why, but I just think that Lawler will have too much for him on the feet, and will be able to stop the takedowns early.
Keith Houchen
Can't see that fight happening a week after Lawler fights Thompson on a Fight Night card. #TildeScoop
David
Dana White vs TildeGuy is battle of the ~legit~ sources. Who's gonna come out on top?
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 Thats a tough first out for Askren, if Lawler is sharp i could easily see him clipping Askren coming in.
Paid Members Carbomb Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 It's tough for Askren, but still quite feasible. Lawler's not fought in almost a year, plus his most recent defeats have been to Woodley and RDA - two guys with good wrestling.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) It's the sort of test Askren is after. Lawler is probably just past his peak, but he's a former champ and you better knock him out because he's got the sort of balls on him Vince McMahon wishes Shane has. I imagine Dana went with this too because Lawler rarely has a boring fight. Maybe feels even dull Ben can get dragged to something close to excitement. It's a bit of a Welterweight super fight that's happening 3 years late. Edited November 6, 2018 by ColinBollocks
David
You just know that Dana has to want Askren to lose more than ever, don't you? Especially now that he's essentially made his coin and would probably do just fine if the whole thing collapsed tomorrow. He'll no doubt be grinning from cheek to chubby cheek if Lawler flattens Askren.
Keith Houchen
Yep, you just know he wants to go all Vince with WCW stars if he could.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted November 6, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 6, 2018 If all else fails, he's probably excited about making Askren v Woodley. Not only because one has to lose, but because it may hurt their friendship a little. Darth White.

David
With this thing between Askren and Dana looking set to rumble on, and the fight with Lawler being as controversial as it has I figured it was time to bump the Ben megathread! His quote from the MMA Hour was terrific: Quote âDanaâs disdain for me is so clear and evident,â Askren said. âAnd itâs so hilarious because he keeps saying, âno I like you Ben. I donât dislike you,â but then like literally every action, every body language tells a totally different story. He is somehow repulsed by me. He hasnât liked me forever. He didnât like me in 2013 when they refused to sign me, he doesnât like me now. I have offered to sit down with the guy multiple times and be reasonable like two adults should do. Heâs not taken me up one time. I genuinely donât know what his problem is with me.â Host Luke Thomas then told Askren that White claimed he wasnât aware that âFunkyâ wanted to speak with him. âI grabbed him by the neck!â Askren said. âI said âDana, letâs sit down and talk.â He said, âwhy?â I said âbecause I wanna straighten things out.â He said, âyouâre here arenât you?'â Â
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 5, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted March 5, 2019 I actually hope he keeps doing that. Being overly friendly to Dana will probably wind him up more than if he called him a pink-faced wanker or whatever. âDana when are we gonna talk buddy? You never called back. You never answered the 85 voicemails I left. Have I done something to upset you my old pal?â Every single time he sees him.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 5, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 5, 2019 That's hilarious if it's true (does it matter?). Dana proper scoffed to the press when someone asked him about Askren saying Dana refused to talk to him. Dana was pretending he's never refused a fighter his time "even Tito". Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted March 13, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted March 13, 2019 Ben Askren trolling Dillon Danis never gets old.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 14, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted March 14, 2019 Yeah. It's even more tragic because it kicked off when Danis decided to give it a go and compares Askren to Rocky Denis, giving it "boom roasted". Ben then spent the day battering him.
