simonworden Posted May 14, 2022 Share Posted May 14, 2022 Enjoyed the first episode of strange new worlds but the second didn't do it for me. I think the aesthetic was wrong with the comment thingy and alien ship both looking like they came from other franchises. Enterprise looks too luxurious to me, I know it's a reimagining to some extent but Pike having a penthouae suite when Kirk had more of a Naval battleships quarters seems too much of a stretch. 69MeDon Posted June 11, 2022 Share Posted June 11, 2022 (edited) I still haven't watched more than three or four episodes of the latest season of Discovery and I don't know if I ever will but Strange New Worlds is great. Especially compared to the other two current live-action series. After Discovery and Picard end, I really hope they do a 24th century version of Strange New Worlds, maybe with the USS Enterprise post-TNG cast. I'm not sure if we ever heard who was captain of that ship after Picard? Also: I'm thinking of doing a every season and movies Star Trek re-watch but I don't really have time to sit through all 24 episodes of season one of TNG for the few good episodes, for example, so does anyone know of a good quick-watch list for them all? That being said, Picard season three is shaping up real good, if that first episode (and reviews by people who've seen the rest) is anything to go by. A little disappointed they didn't do a Star Trek III-style starship heist, but can't have it all. The Titan is the sexiest ship seen in Star Trek in forever.
