A celebration of fucking awesome ring gear. I'll start with Razor Ramon's beautiful baby blue gear for the 1994 Royal Rumble.

This second pic shows off the boots that really set it off:

And here it is being modeled by what is possibly the ugliest wrestling figure you will ever see. It looks like it took inspiration from The Fonz's corpse.

I know we're meant to love his WrestleMania 3 match, but for most of us, I bet when we think of Ricky the Dragon, this is what we think of:

Absolutely splendid outfit. A million times better than the karate shite he was wearing prior. Lent itself to a lovely-looking Hasbro that was useless for playing with, and had the most pointless accessory:

A bit of his cape! Meanwhile, Undertaker and Sgt Slaughter couldn't even take their hats off. Nor could Ricky.

Ultimate Warrior's gear at WrestleMania VII.

Airbrushed everything. Incredible knee pads with the faces of himself and Randy Savage, an image of the WWF Championship belt on the back of the trunks, the awesome ring jacket with Savage and Warrior wearing the WWF Title and facing each other... it's a majestic sight.

It was Savage's best outfit too in my opinion...

Savage could have a thread all of his own. The WM7 gear is a good shout for his best ever. I thought he looked incredible in the USA stuff he wore on Raw's around Independence day.

I never saw him wear this one on TV but there are loads of pics of it and it's awesome. Makes me even more sad that my 1993 dream of a Bret Hart version of the Mega-powers never happened:

I know he moved with the times but it really was a pity that he switched to bandanas and cut off T-Shirts in WCW.

The Million Dollar Man had some wonderful outfits, I can even rank them in order of awesomeness.

5: Black with purple lapels (debut - 1987)

4: Silver with purple lapels (1988)

3: Green with silver lapels (1988)

2: Classic gold and black (89-92)

1: Milky Bar kid (1992-93)

I love when outfits certify a specific era, like Macho with the 3 stars and capes, moulding into Macho King to Space Cowboy Macho. Love stuff like that, there must be more. I can probably list my fave Mr. Perfect gear after a think. He had a lovely rare outfit for Survivors 92.

Didn't list that one Ian because I completely loathed it, even as a kid I thought he probably was a bit strapped for dosh.

FUCK, I should also include mental vampire cape Dibiasi from the Million Dollar title skits in 1989. Amazing.

On reflection, I think the shirt might actually be attached to the cardigan. Like an all in on job. Dibiase looks like he's going to a Christmas fancy dress party as himself. Did like the Million Dollar Corporation, though. It was a nice set of characters.

Nikolai Volkoff must have been really shit if in 1994 he couldnt get work for Tunney or Bischoff and had to go to Dibiase for work. One thing about Ted, the work was there. Might not have been the best job in the world, but he really would employee anyone in his Corporation. He didnt discriminate against age. He may not have liked the blacks, but Virgil was employed for years by him. He employed Native Americans. Blokes with tattoos on their heads. UFC fighters who dabbled in voodoo. You only had to dress up like the Undertaker and he'd put you on the router. And I never seen anyone hand a CV in. No idea what Volkoff was complaining about. A job is a job at the end of the day. Ted seemed like a fair man.
