Ending legitimately scares the shit out of me. Something about the way it's filmed, the sound and the look on the person's face which makes it utterly frightening. Â "Cage 2: Arena of Death" - Lou Ferrigno and Reb Brown star in this martial arts film.

Paid Members Maverick Posted October 19, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted October 19, 2013 Bit off topic but where do we stand on Rope. Most people seem to go with it was a nice experiment that didn't work and Stewart was abit miscast but I think it's a stunning film tbh. Farley Granger is class when his character starts to crack. Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted October 20, 2013 Author Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2013 Two films are strangely called "Cannibal Holocaust 2" in the UK. This is one of them. It's really called "Amazonia: The Catherine Miles Story". It's not really a true story. Some bits of gore are there, but not much. Don't go in expecting "Cannibal Holocaust". Excellent soundtrack though. Â Other one is the "true" sequel, that I haven't watched.

I think most people consider it a masterpiece? I don't - I think it's a really good film but the plot was a bit flimsy for me. A really important film, though, for where Hitchcock would go with his career afterwards.
Paid Members Maverick Posted October 20, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2013 Not sure while I knew it was well liked I didn't think it was up there with the best in critics minds (nor should it be I guess.) Both Hitchock and Stewart said it didn't really work out and the usual critics like Ebert while they had alot of positive things to say about it they weren't overwhelmingly enthusiastic. I think part of the reason I enjoy it is because it's so different.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 20, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted October 20, 2013 It's definitely very highly thought of now. I agree with Hitchcock and Stewart to a certain extent but I still thought it was really compelling and well acted.  A few of Hitchcock's films have seen changing opinions over the years, though. Frenzy got a mixed response when it came out but is now regarded as an excellent film - which it is.  Just about to update the list, but here's a few more for today:-  Triangle (everyone go and watch this NOW) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eFYVr6zGTQ  The Sixth Sense - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bxvtOZJzrM  Enemy Of The State - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKxQv_SVBSY  The Last Stand! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F-Nc8av00I  Dog Soldiers -  Night Of The Living Dead (original) -  Dawn Of The Dead (original) (director's cut) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2B5EqQfW6w  Day Of The Dead (original) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjP13o5HQ9A  The Return Of The Living Dead - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO9ZKzF9EmM  And, most importantly of all:-  Maximum Overdrive -  "YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE"
