kev2050
Looks like this is going to cause some chaos. Expected to hit New York in about an hour. The city is basically shut down, flights cancelled, underground shut down, shops closed. Hopefully this won't be as big a news story as the media are making it seem. I've got a friend who lives in New York, hope everyone manages to stay safe. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted October 29, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted October 29, 2012 What's this got to do with Shane Helms at the beach? If somebody dies in this hurricane then you should be suspended under the 'no shit jokes about dead people' rule.EDIT - 69 people dead so far, so you should get a 69 month ban. I'm not going to report you until the final death toll is in, though, might still squeeze out a few more years.
Loki
A lot of the US news services seem to have gone down - no live feeds from ABC or CNN right now. I'm guessing their news centres in New York are in the areas of the power cuts. Can't find a really good feed, but it does appear to be going down right now. Paid Members stumobir Posted October 30, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted October 30, 2012 Why do they give them such shit names?Considering the names Yank's like to give their offspring (Britney, Candy, Mitt etc), I'd say Sandy isn't all that bad. CAREBEAR LUVVA
Bloomberg have got a couple of live feeds from Manhattan at the moment - there's one at street level outside a collapsed house, and another higher-up one by the Chrysler Building. That second one's shaking like mad (understandably) but you can see all the lights dimming and then coming back on with the dodgy power.
Steve Justice
Times Square is dead. Not literally, but in the sense that it's only 7pm but looks more like 3am. Â Look.

Not literally, but in the sense that it's only 7pm but looks more like 3am.Look.Thanks for that, I'll be on there all night now!No worries. I suddenly had a flashback to when I was waving like a spastic at those webcams to my chums at work when I was in NY back in 2004 (same week as the notorious 'spunk in the sex booth' incident), and thought I'd take a look to see if they were still active. They are, in HD.
CAREBEAR LUVVA
And with sound, on the Times Square ones. It's mental how everyone knows what's coming but there's still people wandering around enjoying themselves.
