Keith Houchen
Yeah that joke has stank up Twitter all day. How's that for plagiarism?
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted June 17, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted June 17, 2013 Stuart Hall gets ONLY 15 months after admitting to 14 offences...including one which involved a NINE year old. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22932222Shockingly leniant sentence. Shoulda been locked up and the key lost. There are no words for the fact one of the offences was against a nine year old, how could anyone do something like that??He's 83 years old. How much you want to bet he'll die in there? He doesn't look like the healthiest man on the planet.

Just because he's 83 doesn't mean that he should be getting off with such a light sentence given the type of offences involved IMO.

No wonder the Justice system is fucked in this country. Everyone wants people to rot and die, with no consideration to the actual laws and statutes and things that are in place regarding whatever the person convicted is tried for.I appreciate that it's going to be looked at, but he isnt in the best of health. Prison shorten's life expectancy, what more do you actually want?

How can people not see that or suggest that because people want a longer sentence put in place that he has no chance of serving due to his age that the justice system is fucked? He's ruined 13 lives from a very early age in at least one case, those people deserve justice.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted June 17, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted June 17, 2013 Depending on exactly the type of assault, the sentence for the crime he plead guilty to is generally 2 years if the victim is under 13, as in this case. He plead guilty, so he'll have got some time taken off for that and they will have taken his age and health into account, so in terms of the guidelines, the sentence is about right. Of course, that doesn't mean that you or I have to agree with those guidelines.

It does not matter if he dies in prison or not, his victims deserve the knowledge at least that he has been given a sentence befitting of such a crime.Unless there is a radical rethink basically as Spurs Riot has said he has been served justice by the law of the land. Not someone else's own version of what 'justice' should be which was my original point want?Exactly. How can people not see that or suggest that because people want a longer sentence put in place that he has no chance of serving due to his age that the justice system is fucked? He's ruined 13 lives from a very early age in at least one case, those people deserve justice.Exacty what? How can people see that we have a judicial and legal system that isn't swayed by the will and the whim of whatever person is convicted by the public and the media today. 9 times out of 10 it's they should hang them, let them rot in jail and throw away the key, and so on. Completely missing the point, as you have done, that justice has been served. You may not agree with it but until we have an anarchical state or similar then a justice system with rules and regulations of what punishments are laid out is the system that we have. He abused over 10 girls, so I'd expect the sentence to take that into account, even with the reduction for the guilty plea.
GalaxyV.2
Doesn't the sentance fall into line with what the law was when the crimes were committed? If so then they have to give him that.Ultimately it looks like a number of other women will come forward about him now, so he'll end up serving longer I reckon.Anyway as someone said, he's 83, pretty much dying, and his reputation is completely ruined and he's been shamed. Justice has been done, and be thankful he's been alive to see it happen.Nice to see Dave Whelan's a fan though.
Loki
Is he dying? They said on the news this morning that he was in good health for a man of his age.
GalaxyV.2
I thought when he pleaded his lawyer said it. Maybe it was misreported in the newspaper. Fair enough if I'm wrong there.
Loki
Oh, right. Yeah, obviously his lawyer is going to try and paint him as a sad and feeble old man who deserves leniency. Doesn't mean he is though.
GalaxyV.2
Oh yeah no doubt, but I'm sure he had a heart condition or something that was reported about. As I say may be getting mixed up here.
