Minor news items that don't deserve a thread

Plus they have successfully released pregnant women in the past. See Dawn Marie. I will never understand that one... they finally had the opportunity to have a pregnancy storyline that actually resulted in a baby appearing at the end of it!

Was there a thing about the WWE helping her financially with the baby even after she was released?

Either way, she's a fucking idiot.

Why?

Isn't it obvious? She signs a high paying new contract with WWE, an opportunity that she was lucky to get after the TNA fiasco. She gets a series of promotional vignettes that very few performers of either gender have ever received and she decides THIS is the time at which she would like to drop a sprog.

Utter wanker.

One thing we can all agree on is that this is one of the biggest messes they've ever had, which didn't include muscle relaxers or strangulation. This just seemed a mess from day one. Just one fuck up after another. No woman will ever get the backing she got again. Kelly Kelly and Torrie Wilson got it based on their looks, but Kharma got vignettes, got hyped as this killer and they even let her throw out Dolph Ziggler. They seemed to be pushing her as a star from the day she signed. Triple H was behind it all as well. You couldn't have a better friend in power. And it was just one thing followed by the next.

Shame they didn't get to do Woyzeck's idea of the Dawn French from Phychoville style angle with her. That would have been alright.

Just been linked this on TMZ:

It's been A LONG time in the making ... but former WWE heavyweight champion Batista has FINALLY booked his first real deal MMA fight ... TMZ has learned.

Batista has been training to get in the ring for years ... and got REALLY close to fighting in the Strikeforce league back in 2010 -- but the deal fell apart.

But now it's on for real -- the 43-year-old powerhouse signed with the CES MMA league -- and is all set up to fight on October 6 at the Duncan Doughnuts Theater in Providence, Rhode Island.

We're told Batista -- 6'6" and 290 lbs -- will square up against some dude named Rashid Evans ... not to be confused with UFC hurt-maker Rashad Evans.

Sources connected to the deal tell us ... the fight WILL be televised ... but it's unclear which provider will broadcast the fight.

Guessing Big Dave is just doing this as a hobby now, surely there's no way he could make it to UFC?

Batista's never had the goal of UFC. He's not daft. They'd never have hired him at his age. Its a labour of love for the big man. I'm glad he's finally got his fight.

If Batista isn't embarrassed, Bellator should try and get Batista on board, like they've done with King Mo. Spike will fund it, and if Batista is a failure in Bellator, just ship him off to TNA.
