M-Dudz
Another actor who has played varied roles over the years from serious in Shawshank to comedy in R.E.D, action in the likes of The Sum Of All Fears and even narration with his distinct voice in March Of The Penguins. Â He was a later bloomer only coming to mainstream notice in his late 40's early 50's but he's racked up Academy Awards, Golden Globes and a massive list of awesome films such as: Â Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven, The Bucket List, R.E.D, March Of The Penguins, Deep Impact, The Dark Knight, The Sum Of All Fears, Se7en, Million Dollar Baby, Invictus, Glory, Driving Miss Daisy, Batman Begins and many more, but which one is his best? Â A real tough one. A massive fan of Invictus, March Of The Penguins and Bucket List but Million Dollar Baby was incredible. That gets my vote, just. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 30, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2011 You can't go wrong with Freeman, but Se7en is still his masterpiece performance.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted March 30, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2011 I'd have to nominate "Driving Miss Daisy". A very moving film. Â Forgot about "Shawshank Redemption". Add that too.
Harvey Dent
You can't go wrong with Freeman, but Se7en is still his masterpiece performance. Â Yeah, agreed. My favourite film with him in it is The Dark Knight, but in context of this question my answer is easily Se7en.
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted March 30, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2011 Se7en or The Shawshank Redemption. Shawshank may seem like an obvious choice but he absolutely nails it. 'Lean on Me' is a decent shout too.
SteelEdge
I'd say Se7en takes this. With probably Million Dollar Baby and Shawshank in the runner up spots.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 30, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2011 I've not seen Se7en since it came out. I remember enjoying it but remember very little else about it. Â I must rewatch it. Â Shawshank takes this for me.
M-Dudz
Absolutely loved Se7en when it first came out. I'd not watched it in years, then watched it back a couple of months ago only to be massively dissapointed. I think it was really good for its time, but looking back on it now - I can't see all the fuss. However, Freeman's performance is particularly good. Â I am surprised that so many people in the early going have gone for Se7en and ignored Invictus, Unforgiven and Bucket List. Interesting... Majik
Se7en for sure. not only his performance throughout it, but his reaction in the final scene. Masterful to watch.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 30, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2011 No love for Bruce Almighty? Â Â Although it doesn't top either my Morgan Freeman or Jim Carrey list, I do think that was a really fun film. Â The less said about Evan Almighty the better though.. Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 30, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2011 It's no coincidence that Morgan Freeman is in my favorite 3 films ever and in each of them he puts on incredible masterpieces of acting. Â The Shawshank Redemption, Unforgiven and Se7en.
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted March 30, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted March 30, 2011 The best film with him in it? Unforgiven. Â The best performance he's put on in a film? Seven.
Reznor
Unforgiven or Seven, can't decide. Â To save this from being a completely worthless reply as almost everyone else has mentioned those, i also liked Amistad and Outbreak.
