Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted February 13, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 13, 2015 Oh shit, Shlemenko vs Manhoef is tonight! Forgot all about that. Come on Melvin. I like Shlemenko a lot and I'm leaning towards him winning, but come on Melvin.

Rey_Piste
The Bellator card was full of one sided fights, but only a couple of finishes. I was gutted to see Manhoef KOed.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted February 15, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) it wasn't a great show....the opener was a showcase for Honeycutt, make no bones about it. It wasn't exciting but Honeycutt looks a real prospect. The women's fight was a horrible mismatch, how the hell was Budd's opponent ranked 7th in the world despite only winning 4 fights? Women's MMA is either good or really really bad.  The main event wasn't an all out war, but it may have spelled the end for Melvin Manhoef. I know he's always been a guy who goes on his shield, and there's no doubt he'll fight again but it was odd to see him being pretty complacent out there, for the first time i think ever Melvin look tentative and like he was fighting to avoid takedowns rather than just swinging the hammers. It allowed Shlemenko too do his thang...Shlemenko also gives some of the best broken english post fight interviews in MMA, brilliant.  https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/4DAD26E8B61178233944655773696_36cc19c631b.1.5.1216219296748521287.mp4?versionId=7aRCLN.xQd1rNdpw_mozHuQ_Vu.Yqp4v  the finish. Rey_Piste
Shlemenko's spinning back fist was a bit Zangief.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted February 16, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 16, 2015 Shlemenko throws more spinning shit than anyone ive ever seen in MMA, it aint as pretty as some other guys techniques, but it's very effective. Noah Southworth
You can afford to be creative against Manhoef because as long as you're able to move back quickly, the odds are very good you'll get at least a glancing blow in and that's all you need to put Manhoef down these days. It's sad in some ways because you know that Manhoef has been knocked out more than enough times to where each subsequent time is doing even more long-term damage and he just will not hang it up. He won't hang it up and he doesn't care about the damage he's doing to himself. On some level, you almost feel bad for guys who keep getting knocked out and don't know enough to walk away because you know the damage they're doing, but with Manhoef, it's impossible to care because not only does he know what he’s doing, he doesn’t care about the damage he’s doing to himself, and if someone is that stupid, they deserve everything they get. DJM
Â Michael Page is injured (a cut apparently)Â and has had to withdraw from his fight on Friday (at Bellator) with Curtis Millender. Brennan Ward is taking his place.
Noah Southworth
What a revolting development this is. Page is almost always delivering an entertaining fight.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted February 26, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 26, 2015 except his last one, it was a stinker.  Anyway so Bellator's British Invasion is Friday night, it's experienced current-UFC levels of injuries, but in fairness Bellator have kept it looking pretty solid. The actual British thing is a bit out of the window now though as only 3 of the 5 fights actually include a Brit, and only 2 of the original 5 fights have stayed together.  The original poster.  What we get...  Main Card (on Spike TV)Emanuel Newton (25-7-1) vs. Liam McGeary (9-0) - Light Heavyweight Title FightPaul Daley (35-13-2) vs. André Santos (37-9)Thierry Sokoudjou (16-12) vs. Linton Vassell (14-4, 1 NC)Cheick Kongo (22-9-2) vs. Muhammed Lawal (14-4, 1 NC)Brennan Ward (9-3) vs. Curtis Millender (7-0)  it's still a very good card, and for me is better than the UFC's PPV Main card this weekend. Really looking forward to this.
Guy Bifkin
Is it on telly Ebb?
Paid Members Chunk Posted February 26, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 26, 2015 How good is Liam McGeary? Really, I mean. DC was talking him up on the MMA Hour this week and I'm now really bought into the idea of him being an undefeated killer. Â Looking forward to this card. Paid Members Dead Mike Posted February 26, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 26, 2015 McGeary is one of the most exciting prospects out there IMO. I'm just hoping he doesn't suffer from 'big fish, small pond' syndrome & flounder when he eventually gets to the UFC.
bono
Is it on telly Ebb? Its not listed anywhere. Why do they show some shows but not others??
Guy Bifkin
I watched the last Bellator on Five Star or something. That was a bit shit but this looks better.  I'm curious to see Bobby Lashley. I remember he was in WWE around the time I stopped watching.
