mikey
Some are tipping White as the next captain because he's the only real cricketing thinker they have.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted December 13, 2010 Author Paid Members Share Posted December 13, 2010 He's a cracking captain, certainly, but it would be pretty radical for Australia to pick a non-test player as their next skipper. It could be just what they need though.
Harvey Dent
Been another good day for our lads, Collingwoods catch to remove Ponting was brilliant. Mitch Johnson is currently smashing it everywhere and giving it large, but this is another massively promising start for us.
Yoghurt
Bit lazy in the afternoon session, but all out for 268 on a par 400 wicket is good work. Australia's 9, 10 and 11 scored more than their 1, 2 and 3.

I've got a bad feeling about this one. I can feel an England collapse coming. Hope I'm wrong.
Stylin_and_Profilin
Collingwood has to be right up there with the best at the moment in terms of fielding. He is normally super reliable and takes some cracking catches making them look routine and simple when they are far from it. Â Was spitting my coco pops at the telly earlier as i had Hussey top Aussie batsmen at 5/1 and saw Johnson pip that by one single fucking run. Fortunately it was over the 1st and 2nd innings so hopefully he can continue his good form and get me some dosh! Paid Members tiger_rick Posted December 16, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted December 16, 2010 Good start from England. I was fearful for us coming in for 10 or so overs with the new ball but they've done great.

Max Power
Anderson's reaction when bowling Harris was superb. Â "MITCH....MITCH.....SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted December 16, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted December 16, 2010 Just caught Collingwood's catch on the highlights. Cracking stuff again. Our fielding has been sensational this series. Good hold from Swann too.

Cracking performance this morning by the lads. If we can have retained the Ashes by Sunday, that'll be spectacular. I wouldn't be surprised if the Aussies do some England-esque in the late 80's-early 90's paniocing about changing their captains. Yoghurt
Why is it always so consistently difficult being an England fan. It was a quality collapse though. Come on England.
Harvey Dent
You can throw the word collapse around, but that was absolutely quality bowling from Mitchell Johnson. He can actually be world class, who knew?
vanhalen2007
/me clutching at straws This is a mentally strong English team, and this pitch is made for fourth innings, look at South Africa last year, Im not too worried(yet). We do need 1 or 2 wickets before stumps though
