Paid Members air_raid Posted July 12, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2011 What was up with Shane McMahon being announced as "one of the owners of the World Wrestling Federation" in 1998/1999? Â To make him seem important, like Vince, to donate some of Vince's heat to him. And because at first, no one will have known who he was. Â Apart from one or two die hards who spotted "the ref from Rumble 91" or "the agent trying to keep Savage and Flair apart at Mania VIII."

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted July 12, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2011 It was explained that all four McMahon's had share in the company. Linda and Stephanie even gave their 25% each to Stone Cold in 1999 to make him the CEO. It was just taken as a given that it was a family business and Shane and Linda had the power to make big decisions also.
Paid Members air_raid Posted July 12, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted July 12, 2011 Was there any sort of storyline or did they just gradually start to announce it? Â They started pretty much immediately after his turn at Survivor Series which had been preceeded by Vince claiming that he'd written Shane out of his will due to his mutinous actions.
