Magnum Milano Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Mark Webster, Tony Martin, and Anastacia are dead sound though. Tony is a regular posted on the Stars of Darts forum, and seems like a throughly decent guy. We met Bristow in Blackpool at the Stan James matchplay three years ago, and he was the rudest cunt I have ever come across in darts. Denis Ovens was a really nice guy and we were just chatting to him for ages. Kevin Painter is another nice chap, despite the image you may get from him on screen. In fact, of all the guys I have met, Bristow is the only one who I would have something negative to say about (not met Taylor, Hankey or Shepherd though). I am really looking forward to O'Shea vs Taylor tonight, and if Taylor starts out like he did against Lloyd then O'Shea may have a chance. Taylor's last five legs in that match were some awesome darts though, and no one else could have lived with him on the form that he was showing in those. Quote
The Cum Doctor Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Alan Tabern vs. MacNeil/Madhoo Adrian Lewis vs. O'Neill/Francis Kirk Shepherd vs. Scott Burnett Mark Dudbridge vs. Andree Welge Colin Lloyd vs. Caris/Ruiz Vincent Van Der Voort vs. Dylan Duo Steve Beaton vs. Carlos Rodriguez Kevin Painter vs. Mensur Suljovic Mervyn King vs. Matt Clark Phil Taylor vs. Colin Monk Peter Manley vs. Andy Jenkins Terry Jenkins vs. Paul Nicholson ( ooft ) John Part vs. Toon Greebe Mark Walsh vs. Mark Webster ( ooft ) James Wade vs. Steve Brown Wayne Mardle vs. Jyhan Artut Robert Thornton vs. Laursen/Perez Andy Hamilton vs. Hazel/Kijamet Tony Eccles vs. Brendan Dolan Roland Scholten vs. Steve Hine Jamie Caven vs. Gary Anderson Michael Van Gerwen vs. Steve Hine Raymond Van Barneveld vs. Warren Perry Denis Ovens vs. Seyler/Yongsheng Colin Osborne vs. Simon Whitlock ( jesus, Harry Potter stuff ) Ronnie Baxter vs. Muramatsu/Kciuk Wes Newton vs. Komula/Konchikov Jelle Klaasen vs. Barrie Bates Wayne Jones vs. Alex Roy Dennis Priestley vs. Kevin McDine Co Stompe vs. Steve Maish Andy Smith vs. Darin Young Probably a foregone conclusion, but Osborne/Whitlock should be an absolute cracker and Magnus Caris might be a bit of a wildcard in the early rounds. Baz Windham Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 It's a real shame Taylor is in untouchable form because it's a cracking line-up. I hope the forgone conclusion doesn't happen, at least not as demolishing as he was in the grand slam Quote
stewdogg Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 (edited) Manley vs Andy Jenkins, two of my least favourite players against eachother! I thought Andy Jenkins was banned until April or something for assaulting Terry Jenkins (this is why he is my least favourite player, as Terry is my favourite, I would love to marry his moustache). EDIT - Caven vs Anderson looks great aswell. If Caven can reproduce the form from earlier on this year, Anderson could be out early on. He's a terrible starter to tournaments, so the last thing he needs is a good opponent early on. Edited December 7, 2009 by stewdogg Quote
The Cum Doctor Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 The active part of his ban starts in April. Jenkins and a couple of others got fined. Wes Newton got fined for something else entirely in Irvine. I'm looking forward to Manley/Jenkins as it's going to be really close and with any luck, Manley will show some good form and step things up this time around. I also want Suljovic to do well. That jazz hands throwing action of his is a joy. Quote
Baz Windham Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Well, we're underway and what a sad sight Wayne Mardle just was. He had an absolute shocker. Not very often you see pros missing single numbers and going out of the board. He's been on a decline for a while but tonight was just dreadful for the bloke. Went out 3-0 to a relative unknown Artut for those who didn't see it. Quote
The Cum Doctor Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Artut, if he sorts out his finishing, could be a dangerous proposition. Wayne Mardle looked beaten before he even got on the stage. Quote
Moderators PowerButchi Posted December 18, 2009 Moderators Posted December 18, 2009 Sad, Sad News today. Colin Murray is the new host of BBC's darts coverage. Quote
The Cum Doctor Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Colin Murray ?!?! Fuck off ! Superb finish there from Priestley to finish the first set. 150. Did anyone see that prelim match ? Perez played really well and didn't miss a dart at a double, and to the credit of his opponent, he didn't miss a double either. He now plays Robert Thornton at the end of the night, which should be a cracking match if Perez plays like he did. Quote

Keith Houchen Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Went to the Warwickshire V Cheshire game the other week and had a pint with my old mate Steve "The Muffin Man" Hine, he told me that John Gwynne said to him that he hoped that he plays Andy "Pieman" Smith soon on Sky as they both bring a plate of muffins and pies to the Sky team when they play. Gwynne was hoping for dinner and dessert apparantly. Quote
Magnum Milano Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Sad, Sad News today. Colin Murray is the new host of BBC's darts coverage. I thought Rob Walker was pretty poor when he did the Masters coverage a few months back, but at least he gets enthusiastic about what he does. Colin Murray though Quote

Went out 3-0 to a relative unknown Artut for those who didn't see it. Mardle's done after that at the highest level I'd have thought. When Artur kept missing those doubles for the match Mardle looked like he wasn't trying to hit them so the match would be over, before eventually going for it as it was dragging on. Just a random non-darting observation, but how gay does Kevin McDine look? Quote
