  1. Is there a vegetarian option?
  2. I thought that was hilarious.
  3. It feels like it would have worked better as a Derren Brown thing? He's good enough that he would have been able to explain the psychology of it all as it was going on. He would likely also have been able to do this with real members of the public and made them think they were using their own money to play the game. The presentation and the way the contestant (who was found to be an actor, along with his "girlfriend" in the audience) behaves feels more like a TV dramatisation than game show, which took me out of it. It felt like a school assembly.
  4. I must have confused Traitors with Ashes To Ashes.
  5. Do it like in Smackdown 2 where each title was a little league. That felt like what they were trying to do originally with their win/loss records and rankings, even when there were people who'd won more matches lower down the rankings because it was also based on who you'd beaten. If they could establish consistent rules and stick to them it'd be a big help.
  6. People had started suspecting Mays around the same time as they'd been suspecting James for similar reasons. I think the reason it's maybe been overdone is because on the day when pretty much every other newspaper was leading with Patrick Stewart's passing a certain red topped rag had James Acaster front and centre and was leading with what had happened on Traitors the night before. Edit. Here's a piece from the Liverpool Echo where James Acaster explains what happened. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/tv/celebrity-traitors-james-acaster-speaks-34851053
  7. Josh Widdicombe is making inroads. Much to Stewart Lee's chagrin.
  8. I was really confused because I'm sure it let me put Bash first, then for some reason autocorrected it to Nash, and I thought I'd put it right. He does deserve some kudos though. Im not correcting it. I don't get why at the point when they had James and Amol stating their cases James's argument of "I don't actually want to be a traitor" is a better argument for making him a traitor than Amol's "I'll try and get the heat off you, Richard" which was when I started wondering whether certain things on the show were influenced by the producers. Maybe not during the non-celebrity show, but with a view to "these are the ones we'd like to keep on the show because they'd provide better entertainment" when it comes to picking victims. I did read a nice article that says Maya donated what would have been her share of the prize money to her charity of choice from her own pocket.
  9. Apparently over the weekend we lost John Lees on, who voiced K9 during the Tom Baker year's on Doctor Who as well as Bungle on Rainbow. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2026/nov/02/john-leeson-doctor-who-k9-dies
  10. I think the traitors ruined it for themselves by killing Sharon instead of Romesh or Bash the first time suspicion fell on Michael. I'm sure James Acaster's breakdown didn't help things, and maybe they've then created and edited themselves a series of events to make it look like he didn't throw Maya and Kenny under the bus depending on what happened before they had to stop filming, but at breakfast that morning Maya had raised a glass to "killing them" before quickly correcting herself to "banishing them" and people appeared to be starting to suspect her anyway. I woke up on Saturday morning to a notification telling me about Romesh winning, which really annoyed me. I was gutted James Blunt cocked it up by going for another round of voting as I'd love to have seen him winning it as well, but it's great that the prize money went to helping really vulnerable people. Kudos to Nash as well. He did brilliantly the whole way through. I watched the last episode with Vicky as she'd managed to stay unspoiled and I wanted to see who'd make it to the end along with Romesh, along with how they'd pick off the traitors. I can't stand Blunt's music, but for him to have more than likely been through and seen some stuff during his time in the army and have such a self-deprecating, down to earth demeanour I think he's great. I can totally see why people wouldn't like him, but from what I've seen of his TV appearances and social media he seems like a decent enough chap. I can also imagine gammons' heads exploding at the "woke BBC giving our licence fee money to rapists and paedos" and it being some kind of establishment stitch-up.
  11. Better to be quiet and people think you're an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubt.
  12. This turned up in my YouTube recommendations and it's fascinating. I've had a look at his channel and it's full of stuff like this.
  13. That's a dreadful poster as well.
  14. I'm surprised there's not a statue already. There should be, or maybe Huddersfield Town will get a Sir Patrick Stewart stand at their ground. Heck why not both?
  15. This turned up in my YouTube recommendations this morning and I felt obligated to post it here.
  16. When did that come in? I knew a dubbing was coming for the Rovers. Hopefully they can just crack back on and keep working hard rather than it being season over now they've had a decent loss. Are Swansea still top? I'd still be happy if we finished 13th this season. Still doing better than Burnley.
  17. Warhammer Survivors is currently 10% off if anybody wants to pre-order it on XBox. Looks like it'll run up to release day on 10th November.
  18. I also amuse myself to her consternation with the old "I used to go to school/work/go out with somebody called (street/place/brand name that sounds like it could be somebody's name)" to the point that in the supermarket there was a packet of rosemary cream crackers on the shelf. I walked over to her with the box held so she could read the product name and she just said loudly" DON'T EVEN" as I was giggling to myself.
  19. I did that when we were out walking with her and her family. She absolutely knew what I was trying to do, and was trying to talk her way around it, but eventually had no choice. The other one I'll do stems from a camping holiday we went on with her family. Her mum's got a camper van, so every time we passed or approached one on the way down I would ask "is that your mum?" I still do it now. I don't get how she's managed to put up with me for two years, let alone wants to marry me.
  20. Vicky and I were out in the car today. As we're driving past a field of cows she just started mooing,. And I moped back. We spent minutes just mooing at each other as we drove down the motorway, then laughing at how silly we both are. The stupidest little things amuse us both so much.
  21. It wouldn't surprise me if you could find a mod of either the old Champ Manager or early Football Manager games with a modern player and club database modded in somewhere.
  22. Dragon's Dpgma Dark Arisen is £2.99 on XBox at the moment. But of a slow start, but I hear it gets really good when it gets going.
  23. New episodes on Sunday, then the old ones on repeat during the week. Before that it was Wednesday nights on BBC2 at 6pm.
  24. TNG was a regular fixture on the TV as a kid. I'd always watch it if it was on and I had time. I wasn't a fan of the X-Men movies, but Patrick Stewart was an inspired choice for Professor X. I also remember seeing him in a version of Macbeth on BBC4 one time. As has been mentioned here, he was brilliant in whatever he was in and never felt like he was just there for a payday. I feel like he was particularly enjoying his time in American Dad as well.
  25. Not me holding during the break at D&D because I just got the notification through on my phone.
