I've been on a nu-metal rediscovery recently, and even the worse, laziest, most immature meathead nu-metal had more to offer than any of Crazytown's material.

    Besides, OPM are better.

They were shit too mind. But they sampled Janes Addiction whereas Crazytown sampled RHCP, so OPM get the win

  2. Assuming Cody wins the belt, which everything seems to indicate is whatā€™s going to happen, no way do they turn him heel after heā€™s just ended the near 3 year reign of the previous Heel champion.

So what's the deal with Frankie Mooney then (it's him behind this UK Wrestling Council thing)?

He claims to be an entrepreneur, martial artist, author and hypnotist, which is every conman red flag imaginable before you even get to wrestling. I looked him up and what little coverage I could find is clearly bought and glorified press releases in local 'papers, and mentions of matches with, mostly, nobodies. A couple of people I'd heard of, but checked their Twitter and never saw a mention of him.

Anything I've been able to find is just that he's a nutter and a no-hoper, but is there anything more to it than that?

Nothing says ā€œyeah, Iā€™m definitely well professionalā€ as admitting to having debuted at 15

Didnā€™t he move to working or training as a fireman, or was that someone else and I'm getting mixed up with?

Scotty 2 Hotty became a fireman.

Richards tried to train as a paramedic, which didnā€™t seem to be going very well when he tried picking Paul London up by the head after full-force stomping on it during a match for ROH

  5. Iā€™ve never seen Nicole Matthews before. I know Pat mentioned her a few posts ago and apparently sheā€™s just returned or something, but according to some people ā€œshe deserves betterā€.

Does she? Or is this just another case of ā€œmy favourites arnā€™t being used rightā€

Forbidden Door Sunday June 25th in Toronto. Doing a bunch of Canadian shows afterwards through mid-July.

Just message my mate about this, and his reply was ā€œSasha v Paigeā€

Ugh (if it happens. Whick it probably will)

There's a couple of frostnazi adjacent cunts on there but it's a solid lineup, if I go to a black metal festival this year it'll likely be Cosmic Void. Darkspace & Van Buens Ende?!

And who might they be? Just so I know who steer clear of.

Avenged Sevenfold released what is probably one of the worst songs Iā€™ve ever heard today. Possibly one of the worst songs ever made actually.Ā

And here was me thinking Obituaryā€™s ā€˜The Wrong Timeā€™ was going to be the worst thing I heard all year

With fees on top, this is Ā£45 a ticket. They can get fucked. At the rate that ticket prices are sky rocketing (thanks Brexit/Russia!), rampant fees are going unchecked (thanks Ticketmaster!) and the secondary markets are going unpoliced, I'll never be going to a gig again. I'd rather put all my financial eggs in one basket and go to festival.

All the more reason to support your local scene. Mastiff have just announced a show for June 2nd thatā€™s Free Entry or pay what you feel.Ā
Granted the show is happening in a teeny tiny practice space, but thereā€™s still plenty of shows at grassroots level to support.

As for FFAF, weā€™ve had the conversation several times now (probably as recently as 3 weeks ago with the Gojira tour) but itā€™s a mix of ticket sales & merch being where the money is now (as well as expensive VIP Packages), but also knowing there are people that will pay that amount (see also expensive VIP Packages).

Would I pay that much for something like that? Absolutely not, but there are plenty of people that will

  10. I hear you @SuperBaconĀ and agree that it is lazy song writing, however it does stop the online detectives trying to decipher the shit out of it like a Bray Wyatt vignette.Ā
Thereā€™s no personal interpretation or ambiguity to anything anymore, everything has to be connected

  11. So after emailing back to me after I spent a good while putting over their Tea Cakes and Wafer Biscuits, I figured that was the end of it as Ann just gave me a list of places I could get them rather than my imaginary local mini-mart.

5 days later, thereā€™s a knock at the door.

Don't we have a general politics thread for this sort of shit? I come in here to read about cunts.Ā

An excerpt from an upcoming rant about the Death Match at the PPV, but...

I absolutely loathe the "you hit me, I hit you, you hit me, I hit you" spot that is now in every AEW match. Ā I know it's come from strong style, or King's Road, or whatever it is, and is meant to show fighting spirit, but nothing takes me out of the suspension of disbelief like this. Ā  Mox and Hangman did it, which makes no sense in a street fight scenario. Ā Mox talking about who'd walk out of that dark alley, not the bloke saying "go on, chop me", that's for certain.

Iā€™ll see yours and raise when they grab a couple of chairs and have a sitdown strike back & forthĀ
