Weird as it sounds to say this in my head, Lambert to Ipswich makes total sense. He’s free and clubs higher up in the Championship/lower in the Premier League won’t touch him at the moment, so a project like this is a realistic option for both parties. He’ll be up against it with some Ipswich fans from the get go because of his Norwich and Cchester stints, but who knows, he might turn things around there. He gave me some of the best memories as a Norwich fan I’ll ever have - he could manage the Taliban and I’d still be fond of him.

Lambert is the most dour and dull manager in football that I can think of. The man is a walking charisma vacuum. He did a great job with Norwich all them years ago but has stunk the place out at everywhere he's been since. He's probably the least memorable Rovers boss we've had in my life and we've had some shite manage us.

  2. The problem with the likes of Family Circle is that they are all lower end biscuits (albeit classics) in the form of a selection box. I reckon I could get a full pack of each variety from Lidl at the same cost as one box.

People at work who make a shit cup of tea.

@Briefcase might be onto something with his skipping tea runs...

There's a new lad in my office who makes a shite tea. I nearly fell asleep after one as it was like warm milk. I asked him to leave the bag in going forward and said it was because I'm a weirdo rather than tell him his tea is as weak as lamb piss. He makes a cracking coffee though so it all balances out I guess.

Kit Kat Chunky is just a normal Kit Kat but bigger. How is a smaller version  better. If anything it should be two Kit Kat Chunkys>one Kit Kat Chunky.

No it's not. The Chunky has a greater chocolate to wafer ratio than a standard Kit Kat. Normally more chocolate would be better but less is more with the Kit Kat.

KitKat chunky salted caramel fudge. That is all

I've not tried so don't want to pass judgement on these just yet but two things:

    1) Salted caramel being everywhere is a trivial annoyance of mine. I don't even think that you get normal caramel flavoured things anymore.

    2) Normal Kit Kats > Kit Kat Chunky

Yeah, if anyone cheers or applauds in any film I go and see, I report them to cinema staff.

Just watched Wes Craven's Shocker, which I think could now be my favourite film by him. It's absolutely bloody nuts. Just goes to show what he could do when he wasn't pissing around with Scream films.

Shocker doesn't get enough love. I had it on video as a youth and would blast it on quite regularly. And Mitch Pileggi will always be Horace Pinker and not Skinner for me.

  9. Why is everyone having a pop about the United board regarding Mourinho's impending departure? It was the same with Guardiola replacing Pellegrino at Man City. Conte was in limbo for months at Chelsea. I'm not saying the board have been great, but this isn't a new thing. Its pretty commonplace for the big boys and will only get worse under the microscope of top flight football as years go on. The manager has been backed to the hilt financially. He's pissed on his squad repeatedly. José has ruined himself big time. If anyone thinks United have been run poorly, try supporting Charlton or Coventry.

  10. Leaks about sackings are common place. Especially nowadays with all the social media platforms in place. The potential sacking of Mourinho has been on the cards since the summer so it's not like this is all out of the blue.

Random swerve thought: Mourinho sacked. Rafa leaves Newcastle and becomes Utd manager. It'd be like when Bischoff became the new GM on Raw. It won't happen mind you but just imagine, eh?

  12. So we've just had the first episode of this year's Apprentice. I'll do my usual thing of watching the first four episodes then lose interest and not bother til the final. Does anyone have any favourites so far? They seem like the usual bunch of clowns but Khadija is the standout so far. Watch her get sacked next week now.

Outstanding with a cup of tea after lunch.

What makes these a "breakfast" biscuit? I don't get them. What's the difference between eating these and a pack of custard creams for brekkie? Can anyone enlighten me?

A shame they did a stupid home attack and then finished it with a shitter of a match. But yeah, up until his recent run, 2009 Orton was great.

I got Sky in my own place at the end of 08/start of 09 and Orton being a psycho bastard was the highlight of getting back into WWE. He was inked up, looked leaner and was a lot darker that the bloated meathead he was before. I thought he was great. Hell, I even loved the Triple H home invasion. It was ridiculous and over the top. But it's wrestling! Being ridiculous and over the top are what it's all about!

The match with Trips at Mania was very meh and probably suffered from going on after such a corker that Taker/HBK produced. Poor Triple H must have had a bad case of deja vu as it felt like X8 all over for him again.

I swear that you can lip read Orton saying "about fucking time" after winning the belt in that six man tag match at Backlash the following month. It felt like a real missed opportunity for him to not win the title at WrestleMania but at least he won it whilst he was hot. After that, he seemed to have a never ending feud with Cena and Smackdown caught my interest more with the awesome Jeff Hardy/CM Punk feud of that summer.

But yeah, Orton 2009 finally felt like a proper main eventer and lived up to that potential he had shown in previous years. He's had good spells in latches since but he's also bored me to tears at times too. Overall though, his good stuff outweighs the bad .

Christmas. We are on the road to Christmas now and the thought of present buying, festiveness, christmas songs and pretending to get along with everyone because its 'Christmas' is just something I really dislike.

I don't mind the snacks, food & drink. Everything else can fuck off though. I don't think it helps when the likes of Tesco are already selling Christmas goodies, keep it exclusive to December.

I'm not the most Christmassy guy in the world and I put it down to overkill. Don't get me wrong. I love the day. I love the food. I love the time off work. But I went into my local Coop earlier and they had the mince pies out. The missus took the little one to a garden centre today and there was Xmas tat everywhere. It's only September and still technically summer. Don't lay it on so bloody thick.

Is there a recap show for the main shows on the network? How did I not know that

Yeah, This Week In WWE. Only half an hour. That and a few YouTube clips is perfect if you don't want to slog through 5 hours of Raw/Smackdown.

  19. I'm not a massive fan of the current WWE product, however watching the Network on a Saturday suits me down to the ground. Quick recap of Raw/Smackdown, episode of NXT (which I thoroughly enjoy), the occasional PPV, maybe a few old matches/clips from yesteryear and I'm more than happy. I work 50+ hours a week, have a small child and various other interests. If I was younger, lived at home and had less responsibilities I'd be well getting stuck into various other feds from around the world like I used to circa 2005. However, I just haven't got the time to commit myself to a new product. The convenience and ease of the Network is ideal for me and my  lifestyle.
