God, it was awesome, wasn't it?

To think how that show ended :(

Having said that, I have never re-watched LOST since it aired. Perhaps it's time.

I always think about rewatching it, especially as the missus has never seen it. I might do it then stop at the end of the third season and pretend that's how it all ended.

  2. My Dhabba is really nice and well priced. There's a place up Far Gosford Street which I forget the name of. Its near the music shop there and doesn't look the nicest of places, but the food is class. I've not been to Coventry for a few years so things might have changed!

Sumo match aside, it’s a very good Wrestlemania.

I was convinced Orton was going over too and I wouldn’t have minded that either, it was the perfect time.

The build up all started with the RKO to Stacy Keibler didn’t it?

There definitely was an RKO to Stacey. But I'm sure the seeds were planted where someone (can't remember off the top of my head) was telling Randy he needs to make an impact. And Randy was then reading a Raw magazine and it panned to Undertaker being on the front cover. It might have been on that Japanese Raw episode.

And yeah, I was convinced Orton was going over at the time. Probably the only time where I believed that the streak would be broken before it eventually was.

  4. - I once got stuck into a family size chocolate trifle from the Co-Op while I was watching Human Centipede 3.

    - Maybe as I found it super cringey, but that sex scene from Munich was hard to watch.

    - Any sex scene when watching a film with the family. Is there anything worse? I remember watching Monster's Ball with my parents as a teen and Billy Bob Thornton giving a Halle Berry a proper smashing being the most uncomfortable 5 minutes of my life. I was tempted to go all George Costanza and shout "that's gotta hurt!" but it would have probably made it more awkward.

  5. Was it Noel Edmonds that claimed you could overcome cancer by having a positive mental attitude or was it another lunatic celebrity?

Also I hope that everyone is aware that there's a chance he'll somehow read this thread and it'll be another thing for him to bash/slate along with Lloyds Bank and the BBC.

  6. American chocolate is awful. Barring Hershey's Hugs (which I've not had since the 90s so my opinion might be of the rose tinted variety) and anything peanut butter related, I wouldn't touch any of it.

I discovered something in the local Co-Op other week. They were selling different varieties of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups with one of the flavours being coconut. I'm a sucker for anything coconut flavoured so I had to try me one. It was okay for what it was but I wouldn't be in a rush to get another.

  7. Do we think that the attitude we look at wrestlers has changed as well? Some of us look back fondly (tongue in cheek perhaps) at the good ol' days when the wrestlers would pop pills and bang ring rats whilst looking down on the lads of today for staying in and playing their console. Reading about a lot of the things that have transpired during my adulthood has made me realise how bullshit a lot of the macho culture I grew up with was.

It isn't just wrestling, sleaze is everywhere at the moment. So disheartening.

It was no doubt worse in years gone by, it's just that more people have found their voice and had the courage to speak out against the kind of bullshit we have the misfortune to read about these days.

I imagine sleaze was a lot more rampant in wrestling when I was a kid but it was brushed under the carpet. I dread to think how many of my favourites would have been outed as scumbags if we had the outlook of society today.

  9. As much as I dislike Slimy Oliver, he's right about this. If you're an adult and you're daft enough to pour this shite down your neck then go for it but youngsters that are still developing shouldn't be allowed them.

  10. Finally got round to watching Mad Max: Fury Road. What a great film! I thought it'd be a blast anyway, but it was absolutely fantastic. Tom Hardy was solid as Max, but Charlize Theron stole the show here for me. Hell, even the lad from Skins whose face annoys me was good in his role. But yeah, great to see a remake/reboot that wasn't bland or forgettable like the majority of them are.

Me and the missus split in August. We're so broke we are still sharing a flat... till March. Should make some good material.

Do you have a spare bed? I had a similar situation with an ex a couple of years ago when we were waiting to sell the house. I ended up making a den out of the sofas every night for bed time. Those were some if the best sleeps of my life.

What a fucking terrible thing to say. We've got Spursman here, whose leg was blown off fighting for king and country, and you're hoping some little lad gets his features erased like a Mr. Potatohead? Shame!

Steady on there! I was only venting. I don't want anyone to lose a limb or any vital body parts! Maybe just a charred thumb or from a sparkler or a mild bit of tinnitus from the all the bangs going off is all.

Mayo with pork pie! He shouldn't be allowed to have children, or vote.

That's absolutely grim. In fact mayonnaise is grim in general. It's the devil's spunk. I think years of going out with people who douse all manner of food in it has right put me off it.

  14. That's such a parent thing to do when you're a teenager. Does your girlfriend live with her mum or is this just when you visit? What you want to do is sleep in the buff without a sheet covering you. That should dissuade her from coming in unannounced. Or make things weirder.

  15. Was watching something or another last night. I wasn't really paying attention as I was looking after the little one but I did notice a new advert for Gala Bingo with none other than Jim McDonald in it! Easily the highlight of my television watching of the week.
