  1. First Rolf, now Emma. Not a good week to be Australian :(

    WWE DIVA ARRESTED

By Mike Johnson on 2014-07-01 12:22:53

WWE's Emma (real name Tenille Dashwood, 25) was arrested yesterday in Hartford, CT and charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Dashwood was arrested at 1 PM at 495 Flatbush Avenue, the location of a Wal-Mart. She was released at 2:13 PM.

In the State of Connecticut, sixth-degree larceny is a shoplifting charge of an item worth $250 or Less. The crime, if convicted, could lead to a sentence of up to 3 months in jail and/or fines up to $500. It is considered a Class C Misdemeanor.

She did not appear on Raw, although she was referenced by name backstage by Santino Marella in a vignette.

PWInsider.com has reached out to WWE for comment.

From what I've read she got caught stealing an i-pod case. Silly girl.

  2. Really good Raw. Steph singing Cna's theme was the highlight of a brilliant opening.

This was brilliant. This and Ghetto H.

It was a strange Raw for me as I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It's been in a real lull for the most part since WrestleMania so it was good to see a show that mixed things up a bit. Still not interested in Cena as champ though. I understand he's the best placed person on the card to hold the belt over the summer, but he's been in this position for so often now it just bores me. Again, not a knock on Cena or his work, just the fact that the prospect of him fighting for the title just doesn't interest me, until him and Lesnar start feuding post-Battleground. In fact the title match at Battleground can completely fuck off. Orton and Cena should never be allowed in the same ring at the same time over again.

Also, what the hell happened to Cole after Cesaro threw Kofi over the announce table? It looked like Kofi barely caught him, but Cole was down for a while.

  3. Is this week's Raw worth watching? I'm really struggling to find the time to watch much wrestling at the moment, what with being busy and watching as much World Cup as I can possibly cram in so I'm debating intentionally reading spoilers for the first time in god knows how long.

  4. Ended up watching Oliver Stone's Savages the other day. What a real mess of a movie. I wouldn't say it was awful, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I haven't seen this Blake Lively girl in anything prior to this, but god is she awful in it. The film probably would have been a lot better if her character wasn't in it. Salma Hayek and Benicio del Toro were the main reasons that I didn't end up hating this flick.

  5. Payback 2013 will always be notorious as the beginning of the end of CM Punk's career. Payback was when it really showed that he'd lost a step. He looked absolute shit that night, and bar that one match with Lesnar, he looked shit for the entire rest of his time. If he'd not been rushed back just because it was a Chicago show, he might still be around now.

Completely agree with this. It seemed such short-sighted booking to bring him back so soon. They should have given him an extended break off after that long title run and losing to Undertaker. It would have refreshed his character and made him a more motivated performer on his return.

  6. I thought Filth was fantastic. James McAvoy was phenomenal in it.

I've never read the book, but I know a few people who have who said the film didn't really do it justice at all. Usually the case when comparing films to literature. I thought the film was pretty disappointing to be honest. James McAvoy was good in it and there were some amusing parts of it, but the film just didn't flow properly and had too much crammed into 90+ minutes.

  7. Anyone else notice Titus O'Neill call Roman Reigns a "punk ass bitch" during the main event? Do they have issues with each other or was it just part of the match?

Good Raw overall, even if that Cena segment was one of the worst things I've seen for a while. It's this sort of shit that really made me dislike Cena years ago and it was horrible to see comedy Cena rear his ugly head again. Even though I don't mind him these days and respect him for what he does and has done, these kind of promos are what made me dislike ol' John boy years ago.

  8. Tim Burton is like Michael Bay for goths.

Hahaha, brilliant! I'm a fan of Burton's work up to Mars Attacks but the majoriity of everything he's made since has been been pretty gash. The likes of Planet of the Apes and Alice in Wonderland are dreadful movies, even if I did enjoy Helena Bonham Carter's best Queenie from Blackadder II impression in Alice. Still not watched Frankweenie though.

  9. You shouldn't bring back a big star and have him choke in his first match back. I know if I bought the PPV for Batista (which is the intention since he's returning on the go home show), it would be quite shit if he didn't win it.

Not necessarily. If someone like Lesnar fucks over Big Dave from winning the match, it gives him an instant programme and something to do. Personally I'd love for Bryan to win the thing.

  10. But Sandler produces a lot of those movies with his Happy Madison film company. All his films have the same shitty humour so people know what to expect from them. The fact he stars in them isn't the sole reason people go to watch them. If that was the case, Spanglish and Reign Over Me would have been more successful at the box office.

  11. Adam Sandler is the best example. His films are usually terrible, but they are a success because his fans go to watch them. If anyone else was in Jack and Jill, do you think anyone would have paid money to see it?

Surely those who go to watch Sandler films do so because his films all have the same humour in it? There's not much difference in the low brow comedy in the majority of his movies so people know what to expect from watching one of his usually dreadful films.

And there are people who would go watch a film purely based on the main star of the film? I don't buy that at all. The same sort of people who went to watch Mr and Mrs Smith are not the same type of audience who would watch Tree Of Life. Or maybe I'm just making an assumption on that one. As I said, Brad Pitt is part of the appeal of a film, not the sole reason someone would watch a film. Unless the people paying to watch are very peculiar.

  12. That's how I see it. No-one's paying to watch a film just because Brad Pitt's in it, but it adds to the appeal of the movie. Sayng that, I'm sure that The Rock didn't really do much for ratings and numbers upon his return last year, but I could be wrong on that one. If the storylines across the board are interesting enough, especially the ones at the top of the card, people are more inclined to purchase an event.

  13. If they decide to strap a rocket to Roman Reigns' arse, Orton vs. Reigns could be decent. It could tie in nicely with the Authority storyline and The Shield being the Authority's mercenaries. It might seem a bit early for Reigns, but they put a lot of shine on him at Survivor Series, and I worry if they hold off til next year, he'll be treading water for a year ala' John Cena in 2004.

In that event, I'd make Undertaker's match the main event- a rookie main eventing WM30 would be a bit much.

I really like Reigns and think that he's got a great future ahead of him in the WWE, but I really hope they don't fast-track him into a title match at WrestleMania. WWE have spunked their load in the past by elevating people too soon. If his weaknesses are exposed too early, you could have another Jack Swagger on your hands. I'd say after Mania, at one of the lesser PPVS, even a Summerslam would work better for me. My ideal scenario for me would be to have The Shield face Undertaker at WrestleMania with Taker winning, then have having a fallout amongst the group, with Reigns becoming a babyface and feuding with the other members for a couple of months before going onto other things.

As for Raw, the funniest part of the show for me was Tensai getting battered by Brodus Clay, then R-Truth and Xavier Woods stealing the Funkadactyls and dancing with them as Albert lay on the floor outside like no-one remember he even existed. Made me chortle. And agreed with the above post from Hallicks. The three man announce team doesn't work. I know everyone thinks that JBL is a dick (and he's probably right as well), but Lawler is fucking awful behind the announce desk and has been for years.

  14. It's not been weird or obsessive though, people have clearly explained why they don't like the angle or the way Triple H and Stephanie have been portrayed throughout it.

There are a good few people who obsessively hate pretty much anything that Triple H or Stephanie do, particularly Steph. Loads of people have had their 2003 hats on since SummerSlam as well, which is always delicious to see.

The problem with Triple H and Stephanie is that they seem to take themselves and their image too seriously. If they were willing to send themselves up a bit more there'd be a lot less criticism of them. I remember when CM Punk come back with his "Cult of Personality" theme a couple of years ago and Triple H had to get in the fact that he was responsible for Punk having his new theme. It was his way of trying to look cool, but he made Punk look like a tool and himself a bit of a dick for it. At times it seems like Steph tries a bit too hard to prove that she's a powerful business woman, kind of like an Apprentice also-ran. I'm a fan of them both when they're on, but they need to make their characters a little less "cool" and show more frustration at things not going their way all the time. They don't always have to let whoever they have an issue with have the upperhand all the time, just showing that characters are getting under their skin would suffice.

  15. I ended up living at my partner's mum's house a few years ago and her little brother stole a pack of Maryland cookies out of the room. I had to find a fitting punishment, so I made him take his top off and gave him five Ric Flair chops to the chest. With a customary "WOOOOooooooo!" between each chop as well. The missus' mum wasn't too pleased when she found out. But he's never robbed another pack of Maryland since.
