I had also assumed he was already enjoying himself on another spiritual level. I actually have a Tinto boxset somewhere.

See, this is what separates the good from the great.

In some ways it's a shame that it wasn't the racism, the sexism, the homophobia, the cruelty, or the corruption, but the price of petrol that seems to have caused the shift. Good results so far though.

BBC Two are showing the Milan Derby. James Richardson is presenting. It opened with a ball hitting "Serie A" to turn it to the Italian flag colours and then the Gazzetta Football Italia theme kicked in (old Channel 4 intro for reference). I'm going to rewatch that on iPlayer until my broadband melts.

That's what we'd picked out for our Halloween viewing due to Reba McEntire being in it.

Fucking rough week for us Trekkers. Sir Patrick Stewart's social media has posted that he passed yesterday.

The Invite Quite different from Ali G and the people happy to kill babies. Couples Therapy, the play adapted to a movie. Unsurprised to see Esther Perel was a consultant given some of the dialogue. Absolutely loved it. Every actor in it puts in a shift. In some ways it reminded me of Carnage, 4 actors giving it the business in an apartment, but the director of The Invite isn't as problematic as that of Carnage though.

Had my first Greggs festive baguette of the season to get me in the mood. It was very generously filled too, for which I thank Jesus and Santa.

My wife! I can't lay the blame entirely on Mrs JB as we wanted to watch something over lunch and it popped up with a ~90 minute run time. We were both expecting fictional knockabout nonsense like "In da house" and a warm fuzzy nostalgia pop rather than a more depressing Borat G.

New Ali G On Prime included tier 5 days after theatrical release. Doesn't really work in today's political climate. I'm not sure you can make a satire out of people who are apparently happy to kill a baby even if you preface it with Voltaire's absurdities and attrocities. The one actual comedic bit is in the end credits and is quite funny so save yourself 90 minutes and skip to that.

Murtagh's "I'm too old for this shit" hits different these days. What once was a comical throwaway now aches deep in my heart. Danny Glover was only in his early 40s when that came out!

I don't think anyone can diminish Kane's biggest achievement, which of course is winning the Ballon d'Or in Skechers. My old dad has to wear those because doing laces on normal shoes is a bit much for him. Yamal can't do it in orthopaedic slippers on a wet Sunday in Cologne.

We Need To Talk About Kevin You know that something bad has happened or is about to happen, and then you just hope it won't be as horrific as you think it will be.* A fantastic film, but not a date nighter or one I will probably ever watch again without therapy. *

The best one-season wonder there ever was.

There's a nice interview The Roddenberry Archive put out that was filmed within the last couple of years.

Walter Koenig, probably best known as Chekov from the original Star Trek, has died at 90. Even in my old age I still can't get through the helmet creepy crawly scene in The Wrath of Khan without flinching. That only leaves Shatner and Takei from the original main cast still alive now.

Martin Keown in the underground/Elizabeth Line part of Liverpool Street the other day. He looked very smart and was moving at a fair clip.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Rural teen beauty pageant black comedy mockumentary. Everyone is in this. I'm disappointed that I'd never seen it before as from start to finish I had a smile on my face.

The Atlanta Falcons new profile pic on the socials is an interesting design. "The Bird Reich" was my favourite comment.

Big Sherbet. It doesn't even look right, does it?

That's so grim. Sorry you've got to go through that.
