SaitoRyo Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 It's another one we studied in sixth form film studies, so it's burned into my brain! A truly gorgeous film. I went on a real Wong Kar-wai kick afterwards, but Chungking Express is still my favourite. Quote

But I watched Chungking Express shortly afterwards and absolutely adored it. Quote

In The Mood for Love looks absolutely beautiful, but I've only seen it the one time and remember not liking it as much as Chungking Express, Fallen Angels etc. It's probably due a re-watch, but is also not something I'm in a hurry to watch again. I feel like I could watch Chungking Express anytime and enjoy it. Bit of a comfort film. In The Mood for Love, crucially, doesn't have Faye Wong dancing around to a Cranberries song, so I think that let's it down. Edited April 15 by SaitoRyo Quote
