Can I change my mind to “keep, up until a certain point in October 2002, then delete”?

Hell no.

I'd vote to keep, even though he's scumbag MAGA twat these days and is only considered smart by other attitude era wrestlers because he wasn't illiterate or necking somas by the fistfull.

I enjoyed his run with X-Pac and Tori, I loved his return in summer 2000 with Paul Bearer, his run with Blue Lives mattertaker plugging the main event gap in 2001 vs 2 man power trip was grand and I liked the brief unmasked psycho Kane (til Shane-O ruined it) in 2003. Teaming up with Bryan was good value too, can't go wrong with Bryan though. I can't think of any great matches Kane has had, but that doesn't really matter to me. Ziggler had a load of good/great matches and I couldn't name one of them, but I can still remember all the Kane stuff.

Teenage me thought this was cool as feck too:

On the balance of things I’d say keep. As a kid who started to watch wrestling in 1998 he was my absolute favourite back then. A lot of the stuff post unmasking was absolute dross but I think that initial run was excellent at times.

In terms of great matches I’d throw in his performance in the TLC match on Raw in 2002 where he defended the tag titles alone against Christian/Jericho, Bubba/Spike and Jeff Hardy/RVD.

One thing that's just occurred to me. If we get rid of Kane, who will keep track of who likes Rachel Stevens?

OK, I've changed my mind.

I'd keep Kane. The gimmick fit the worker. If they hadn't landed on that character and it hadn't been a success, they probably would still have given Spanish Glenn something else to do and he'd still have stunk the place up with bad big man matches, just without all the fun bells and whistles (hellfire and brimstone). Plus, he was a fucking blast to play as on WWF No Mercy.
