Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted July 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 29, 2025 Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre vs Gunther alone makes the existence of the triple threat worthwhile. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted July 29, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 29, 2025 Completely forgot about that match. Bron Breakker vs Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser at Survivor Series last year was also a very good triple threat. Quote

simonworden Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 I don't think you can really get rid of triple threat matches. As much as us discerning, long term wrestling fans might find them awkward and forced from a storyline perspective, the more causal viewer often loves a bit of chaos. I was talking to a promoter not long ago about social media views/numbers and chaos always gets more views than a standard match. Triple threats, multi man matches, overbooked chaos, weapons all do a very good job of getting more eyes on the product and entertaining the non-fan. You do then have to balance it out so there's not too much once the fans get hooked and invested in the wrestling but it's a great hook when used right. Just don't do 2013 circa TNA and turn a whole division into triple threat only. Quote

westlondonmist Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 There have been some good ones but overall I am not a fan of triple threats. Often it just involves one person sitting on the outside while two fight, that person enters to break up a pin and the person being pinned rolls out and the circle begins. They work better for me when elimination or being complete and utter spotfests. Quote
