AEW London 2023

I won’t be surprised when/if he gets a push to the top, that suddenly there’s a more widely discussed “he doesn’t look fit to be the top of the company so should be de-pushed”, similar to how Kevin Owens was a few years back, after years of being lauded and praised wanted for a push.

A lot of wrestlers not on the card. People who have been in the company since the beginning and a few big names too. Surely they can have a battle royal for some of these. Unless there’s a match or two left to announce.

Andrade, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn, The Gunns, UKFF favourite Big Bill, Brian Cage, Malakai Black and his spooky chums, Christian & Luchasaurus, Daniel Garcia, Dustin Rhodes, Hook, Ethan Page, Jack Perry, Double J, any Dark Order folk, Keith Lee, Miro, Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Rush, Sammy Sammy Sammy, Stupid Sexy Wardlow, Nyla Rose, Willow, Thunder Rosa, Rebel (should be main eventing ❤️) and Statlander. There might be a few injuries among them, but you could make a fairly solid card on those names alone. And where the fuck is Jade Cargill?

Taking advantage of why she chose AEW over WWE, being able to spend time with her family and on her own projects. She and her husband are in the ownership group of a new Women's baseball league that just played its first season. Her team won the championship. Also been holidaying abroad.

KultureCity awards were over the weekend and she was with the AEW group. She's also done some other events with AEW. Still posts AEW stuff and interacts with talent.

Meltzer doesn't know what the plans are and if she will even comeback. Which has people fearing the worst. When asked about it's just been called a sabbatical.

I do hope she comes back. I think she has a massive babyface run in her. Just a shame the women’s roster is a bit lacking in star power to match hers.

She was also backstage a couple of weeks ago. My thinking/hoping is that she'll be back not long after the school year starts in the US.

Rebel needs to be on TV with Britt every time. Since she stopped, Britt's image seems to have dropped somewhat and doesn't have that something that Rebel brings.

She’s a perfect lackey. Doesn’t take too much focus from the star, can take a beating from Britt’s opponents and has good comedic chops. Plus she’s utterly gorgeous. Terrible in the ring, but I can look past it.

Interesting names on the picture that Wembley Stadiums Facebook just posted

It's a picture with Sting, Saraya, Darby Allin, Chris Jericho, Luchasaurus and Christian Cage - all but the latter two are already booked on the card.

Not sure what Luchasaurus and Christian will be doing, given they're feuding with Darby and he's already in a match, but it's not a massive surprise that one of their reigning champions will probably be on the show.

That's the same poster that's been plastered all over every station on the London underground for the past month now.

Maybe they might do a run in to cost Sting and Allin but don't think you'd have Sting lose in a Coffin match

I actually wonder if Sting does lose the Coffin match - he's not lost in AEW yet, and this is a stipulation that means he doesn't have to take a pinfall loss to anyone. They can do the classic Undertaker finish of having a bunch of heels gang up on him to get him in the coffin, which gives Swerve a statement win over Sting, while taking Sting out of the equation for Darby Allin's match against Luchasaurus and adding more heat to that story, especially if Christian and Luchasaurus are involved in the finish.

Generally, the posters that were put together have been a pretty good indicator of who is likely to be on the show. The only people on any of the posters who haven't yet been booked, and aren't missing the show due to injury, are Sammy Guevara, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Jade Cargill. Jade is on hiatus, and if Sammy's not added to a match it may be because of Tay being pregnant and not wanting to travel away from her.

Possible, but I just can't see them not giving Sting the win at Wembley to get huge pop but a loss could get an amazing amount of heat on someone. I suppose you could have Cage and Luchasaurus take Sting out, SS and Fox win and then Allen takes out Cage and Luchasaurus. If someone were to beat Sting I think they'd need to capitalise on that quickly though.

The match Sammy had on Rampage had "Luna's Dad" as his little description so yeah possibly on some sort of paternity leave (well, one that involves still doing squash matches on Rampage 😛 )

Always was going to be a lot of names not on this card but same time it's a little suprising that 2 of your 4 pillars (and wrestlers who main evented the last PPV) aren't on it, nor are 2 of your big singles champions (one of whom is managed by a very recognisable ex WWE guy). But then it's this card. Shouldn't be suprised by anything at this point
