Darius of Popstars and Pop Idol fame has died. Only 41.

It’s a sad day when one of the best musicians of our time Carks it.

His rendition of Britney Spears I remember being on a loop as a screensaver on my computer, that I got off of a CD free with Big Time magazine years back.

Real shame. I remember being proper chuffed for him getting Colourblind to No. 1. Felt after the rinsing he got for that Pop Idol performance he proper deserved a little redemption arc. Good lad.

He really turned it around. Great music and theatre career. Ended up marrying Natasha Henstridge for a few years the lucky bugger. Completely mental where his life went to be honest.

Such a shame and yeah, like many others have said, quite scary he's of a similar age to me. You just never know.

What I loved was when he said “I’m going to have a number one single within the year” and got lambasted nationally for it.  Then within a year had a self penned number one single that wasn’t a novelty record but an excellent pop song.
