Is pro wrestling too dangerous?

Probably quite a fair point as in the 80s and 90s the tv was basically an advert for house shows.

Not even just the TV but people forget how the PPV was a “special” but had a far more promotional approach than people remember vs stuff getting blown off.

The best example I can give is Mania VI. Other than the main and a few clear examples of people getting a push going over people who aren’t, here’s what they set up :

In the Demolition title win they tell us the Harts have challenged the winners - that’s going on the road all summer.

Beefcake is the one to end the “Perfect Record” - because people know Brutus can beat him when they are wrestling for the Intercontinental title for the next four months.

The Orient Express get a shady win over the Rockers but don’t worry, you can buy a ticket to see the Rockers get their revenge.

There’s the mixed tag rather than a Savage v Dusty one on one, so neither pins the other because they want you to pay to come and see it.

The Harts get a stunning decisive victory befitting a team you’ll pay to see challenge for the belts.

Earthquake flattens cheating bastard Jim Duggan after his win over Bravo because Duggan vs Earthquake is going to be a house show feud.

The Million Dollar Man attacks Boss Man before the match with Akeem - at this point you can guess why.

Finally Rick Rude gets a decisive clean win right before the main, because he’s going to be chasing Warrior all summer.
