Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 28, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted January 28, 2025 I stupidly spoilt the result of the main event by logging into my Skybet account, absolute rookie mistake. I think the debate over the result here is a good thing, its got people talking about the promotion. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 1, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted April 1, 2025 PFL back on Thursday for the start of the "regular season", shit has changed. It's just straight 8-man elimination tournaments now. Simplifying things is the right move. Only issue, these look like pure PFL retread cards. Not a lot to really get excited about really, I think the genuine buzz will start when they put out the Super Fight cards later on (which i asssume the tournament finals will take place on) Cards below. All 8 fights take place Thursday night. Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted April 1, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 1, 2025 Wow, only one American in there. That said, three Russians and three Canadians. Still, good to see some people from countries you don't see competing often - a Greek, a Haitian, and a Jamaican. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 1, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted April 1, 2025 I hadn't even noticed that. The promotion seems to have set up shop at Universal Studios for 4 straight shows, so its a bit of a TNA situation going. Don't know how much of a crowd they'll get in. Tickets start at $25 though and id imagine that's a great seat. I'll be viewing. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 29, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted April 29, 2025 Not watched the last couple of shows but am all in for the Heavy and Lighy Heavies this Thursday, looks good this! Sloppy Superbowl! Rolls nicely into the two May European shows in the next couple of weeks. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted May 12, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted May 12, 2025 Something pretty special going on with Paul Hughes over in Ireland. He dusted off Bruno Miranda in under a minute on Saturday. Crowd love the fella, the Irish haven't got behind someone like Hughes since McGregor. You just get the feeling Hughes won't piss all the goodwill he gets from the people up the wall either. Hughes/Nurmagamedov II in Ireland will be one of the fights of the year. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 19, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 19, 2025 Kevin Lee's return is tomorrow... Rabadanov is 1/25 to win this. They are giving Lee zero chance. Quote
Dai Posted June 19, 2025 Posted June 19, 2025 That's crazy. Don't think anyone should be that big a dog in a two horse race. I bet not even Sonnen against Jones, or other people against Jones were that big a dog. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 20, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 20, 2025 MMA odds in general are widening, some of the UFC odds recently have been way wider than they would have been a couple of years ago. Anyway, here's the PFL card... Quote
Paid Members Carbomb Posted June 20, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 20, 2025 I don't know what I find crazier - that Liz Carmouche is still fighting, or that she is one of Sheva's only four losses. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 20, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 20, 2025 Yeah she's smashing it too. 10-1 (8 finishes) since leaving the UFC, decent title run in Bellator under her belt too. Fair play. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted June 23, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 23, 2025 Predictable finish. Lee stopped in round 1, dropped 3 times and hurt seemingly with every punch. Lee had his jaw wired shut after the fight. This was a crazy risk to take, and he probably shouldn't have taken it. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 22, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted August 22, 2025 Fabian gone done a Leon to win the PFL World Title. 3 years to the day since Leon Edwards did it to Usman. Wild. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 22, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 22, 2025 That’s crazy. I thought the ‘same day’ thing was wrong at first because Leon won the title on the 20th August 2022 but apparently that fight went on after midnight so it was the 21st by the time Leon KO’d Usman. Same way, same day. Mental. Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 I don't care what or who you are but watching that live was absolutely chilling......the same fucking finish..... I'm still shocked but wow you couldn't write that if you tried and on the very same day as Leon three years ago. Love this sport Quote
