Talking Pictures are showing the The Cassandra Crossing again tonight at 9pm. Not the greatest of films but a fun 70's disaster film where they threw loads of money at it, like The Towering Inferno. Cast is a who's, who of Hollywood greats. Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner, Richard Harris, Martin Sheen & Burt Lancaster. And OJ Simpson is in it.

The master of suspense. Alfred Hitchcock's, Rebecca is on tonight at 9pm. Glorious piece of enthralling mystery and drama starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine.

This was Hitchcock's first US film based on the novel by Daphne De Maurier.

TP are showing a nice, slice of gangster, film noir tonight in The Big Combo at 9pm.

Directed by Joseph H Lewis who also directed Gun Crazy. Starring Cornel Wilde and Richard Conte who were normally cast as supports. Get to step up here. Great script and also has Lee Van Cleef all scrubbed up to play one of the crime boss' henchman.

One of the greatest classic noirs. Lewis also directed Gun Crazy, another of the very best noirs. He also made a bunch of really good westerns like Terror in a Texas Town, A Lawless Street and The Halliday Brand.

Starting from next Saturday. Talking Pictures are rerunning 90's Euro smut, Eurotrash.

They have had a run of showing more top shelf stuff recently. They've been through the 70's bawdy "Confessions of a ....." & " Adventures of a ......" films.

TP are showing an absolute classic tonight at 9pm. The birth of French New Wave cinema. Jean-Luc Godard's masterpiece, A bout de souffle, aka Breathless. Starring Jean Paul Belmondo & Jean Seberg as the epitome of cool, doomed young love.

Trilby's tipped, cigarettes hanging from mouths, black & white striped tops. Roaming the Paris streets in convertible cars. This film makes being bad look good.

 

 

Richard Linklater has directed a new biopic film, called Nouvelle Vague which follows the birth and shooting of the film. Coming out early next year.

I've been away for a while, but can I just say I was loving Crown Court in the afternoons during home for dinner and wag school time, but they've taken it off.

TP are premiering the brilliantly macabre, French horror. Eyes Without A Face, tonight at 10pm.

Groundbreaking for a film released in 1960, for it's subject matter and visuals.
