Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted April 1, 2016 Paid Members Posted April 1, 2016 Really hard to find a way to argue with that, and I don't know why you'd want to. Post of the year contender.
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted April 1, 2016 Paid Members Posted April 1, 2016 I agree. Even if you ignore the band's incredible back story, the songs on the album have an incredible purity to them. It's 100% free of any contrivance or cliche. Â It's been a while since I listened to it, but I think it's My Friend's Name its Foot-Foot that becomes an awesome piece of psychedelic rock if you have two YouTube Windows playing at the same time, a few seconds out of synch with each other. Â Frank Zappa said they were better than The Beatles.
Guy Bifkin Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016  In the corner of contrivance and cliché, Peter Frampton says "no fat chicks". Â
Moderators PowerButchi Posted April 2, 2016 Author Moderators Posted April 2, 2016 How did you manage that? Did you detune for it into, well, whatever tuning they seem to have?
Moderators PowerButchi Posted April 2, 2016 Author Moderators Posted April 2, 2016 Probably the best way to get their "sound".
darkship Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 The title track and 'Who Are Parents?' are super-catchy. One of Kurt Cobain's top 5 albums ever I believe.
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted April 5, 2016 Paid Members Posted April 5, 2016 Not heard the album yet, but their Wikipedia page makes them seem mental... Â https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shaggs

That makes me like them less tbh... and I love The Shaggs. One of those weird things I'm so happy exists, like Pat Boone's Metal album.
Paid Members eugenespeed Posted April 5, 2016 Paid Members Posted April 5, 2016 I am ashamed to have not heard this before. Brilliant stuff.
Stunner Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I once bought the CD as a birthday gift for a friend. It actually made her like me more.Â
