Im fancying Cerrone. The whole RDA drugs thing is leaving a big question mark over the whole thing for me. If RDA does his that cage in the form that he beat Pettis in i think he retains.

I dont see Diaz beating Johnson though, i dont really see how he can beat him.

That one vote for Overeem by KO. That was me. Watch what he does tomorrow. 2015 is the year the old, slow Brazilians gte finished off. Weidman took a few out, some Irish fella won some fight last week against one and now it's Overeem's turn.

There really was going to be one winner in that RDA/Cerrone fight. Cerrone has never been able to take a punch and once the going gets tough he crumbles.

I can't believe so many pros and pundits were picking him to win.

Overeem winning is great for the division and my worst fears for JDS were realised. His wars have truly caught up to him and to paraphrase Joe Rogan, he looked smooth..but of course I don't want to jump to conclusions.

Speaking of jumping to conclusions, RDA certainly silenced a lot of people, myself included, who were suspicious with his transformation.

Well, that was a disappointing ending.

I think he lost it from the first straight right, he didn't seem to like that at all.

The Diaz fight was pretty fun, though I'm not really sure he deserves the McGregory payday above everyone else. After last night, I'd actually quite like to see RDA/McGregor.

Oh fuck off Overeem you big bag of bollocks.

I was holding off on saying JDS was on the decline before because I thought it was too early to say and despite having a tough time he did still beat Miocic. He looked terrible here though. I've never seen him so gun-shy. It was a cracking left hook by Reem though, I'll give him that.

Oh well. The sliver lining is that at least we have a fresh title contender, I suppose. Werdum vs Overeem 3 or Cain vs Overeem are big fights for 2016.

Dos Anjos is the fucking man. The PED thing with him is overblown IMO, to explain away his dominance over Pettis. It reminded me of when Juan Manuel Marquez knocked out Manny Pacquiao. It was like because none of the 'experts' saw it coming they felt the need to find an excuse (PEDs) for why it happened. Of course, if RDA did piss hot it wouldn't surprise me because I don't really trust that any fighter is squeaky clean anymore. But I think people were jumping to too many conclusions about RDA before based on that side by side comparison pictures thing (which is flawed in itself) and the whole dodginess surrounding the drug tests at UFC 185 (but wouldn't that have applied to all fighters on that card? Why was it only Dos Anjos getting the finger pointed at him?).

Dos Anjos is great. He's put the work in big time and fully deserves the limelight. He's taken a long tough road to the top and he's slowly improved and adjusted his overall game along the way. Now he's a fucking destroyer.

I get why people were picking Cerrone. He was in the best form of his career by far coming into this fight and it really felt like he'd gotten over that hump to me. It's easy to look back in hindsight and say 'Cerrone was never going to win this' but I don't remember many talking like that before the fight. If anything it felt like people were kind of looking past Dos Anjos and getting excited for a potential Cerrone vs McGregor fight next year.

I wonder what happens now then. Either McGregor vs Edgar at 145 or McGregor vs Dos Anjos at 155 are surely the frontrunners. The fucked up thing with Dos Anjos is he's pretty much already cleared out the lightweight division on the way up. He's got a Pettis rematch down the line but he's already 2-0 over Cerrone, he battered Bendo in a round, battered Diaz convincingly. Melendez is suspended. Khabib would be interesting because he beat RDA dominantly already but he's always injured and I could swear he's already hinted at retiring. That leaves Tony Ferguson and Eddie Alvarez. Great fighters but neither have much for Dos Anjos IMO. I think RDA vs Ferguson would be great actually, I just don't see Ferguson having much of a shot.

And McGregor is in the same boat at 145. He's got Edgar and that's it. The more I think about it Dos Anjos vs McGregor is the fight to make. Maybe not next though. I can see both defending their respective titles first. McGregor vs Edgar and Dos Anjos vs either Ferguson or the Pettis/Alvarez winner. If McGregor and RDA both won those fights, man, they really have wiped out their divisions. At that point Dos Anjos vs McGregor is almost the only option.

Has anything more cone out on why nLorenxo and McGregor seem to be at loggerheads? We had the belt slamming by Lorenzo last week. Has either party commented on that? Or are they too smart too put that v stuff in the public field.

Diaz always does this. I'm sure when Aldo pulled out of UFC 189, Nate was saying it was confirmed that he was stepping in as the replacement against McGregor as well. I get what he's doing. I think he thinks if he announces he's fighting McGregor and the fan response is overwhelmingly positive then Lorenzo and Dana might just listen and give him what he wants. Worth a try, I guess. But he's done this before so I never trust what he says now. Him and Nick are both mental. The boy who cried 'wolf tickets'.

The only thing is, if Connor goes to 155 does he instantly get a title shot? I'm not really to sure how all that works... Considering he wouldn't be ranked and that.

If they wanted him to have a winnable fight, worth big money to, allowing him to elevate himself into a championship shot at that division Nate's the guy I'd book him against.
