TAFKAC
We're keeping him, simple as. I wouldn't blame him for fucking off. McCarthy treated him like crap, and then so did everyone else who took charge! Granted he acted a twat at times, but he was treated poorly. He'll rip League One apart, and Jackett seems adamant he'll be leading the front line with Sigurdarson, Cassidy and McAlinden taking the step up too.Although there is talk Celtic may be interested, especially if they sell Hooper. And they'll be able to afford the fee Hibs can't with Jez Moxey invilved.I'm not too fussed where he is playing but here's hoping he is scoring goals wherever. He's a talented boy and if he can keep his mind on the game then he will score a fair few.

The Whole Show
QPR have Shef Wed at home which is actually a decent start. Our first 3 games are not too bad ane we have a chance to get some early points on the board, but we do have 2 tough trips at the end of the month to Bolton and Leeds.Nice tasty last home game of the season to Millwall but we have got bloody Brighton away midweek which is a shame and Blackpool away in December. Keith Houchen
Might have it wrong but I think I noticed Walsall and Coventry are never at home on the same day. Guess we know where our home games will be then.
patiirc
Bournemouth vs Real Madrid! Â And Only 60 quid a ticket for non season ticket holders, too boot. Â No wonder people are turning their back on football, that's insane for a friendly!
Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted July 2, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted July 2, 2013 You can be sure that Real won't be fielding their first pick eleven too, making the thing a total con.
Keith Houchen
Cov City are ground sharing with Northampton Town. I hope the football league block it.
mikey
Let's face it, it could be a lot worse. Despite being a similar distance, it would have been a lot more difficult to go to Walsall.
Keith Houchen
It's moving the team out of the city. It couldn't be any worse.
Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted July 4, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted July 4, 2013 Keith, can you explain the ownership of the club? It seems to be split between different parties and a real headache to get around. Also, how can they have money to build a new stadium in the City somewhere yet they can't afford to pay off a long-term debt or something to the people owning the arena? Keith Houchen
This might help.. I said might.  Basically. SISU bought Coventry City.  A ridiculous deal was previously signed for the rent on the Ricoh, over a million a year. The owners of the Ricoh are ACL who are 50% Coventry Council, 50% Alan Higgs Trust, a charitable organisation that focus on sport for children in Coventry  SISU didn't pay rent for a year, saying it was too high.  ACL offered them a 66% rent cut, with a ten year deal to pay the arrears interest free.  SISU refused and ACL called in the authorities. CCFC were put in administration. The administrators eventually found that the "Golden Share" of the club was transferred to a Cayman Islands company that was owned by one of the directors of SISU  ACL bid to buy the club, saying they'd cancel the debt if they were announced as preferred bidder, or let them play rent free for a year if they stayed in administration.  Optium were announced as the preferred bidder, they are a subsidiary of SISU. They announced that they a looking for a ground share while they plan for a stadium "In the Coventry area".  So basically, a Mayfair based hedge fund didn't want to pay rent and take all match day profits for themselves, regardless of how they got there. mikey
Said this dozens and dozens of times but get called bitter and out of touch. You cannot just sell the golden share, that's franchising. When will the Football League show some fucking backbone?
mikey
Anybody with any opinions about how it's going so far in the Championship? Bolton have signed something like eight players thus far, Jermaine Beckford the latest. QPR have Johnson, Zamora and Remy but want Gary Hooper. On the managerial front, Dickov fails upwards, Millwall piss everybody off by appointing a former West Ham captain, Brighton land the Maccabi Tel Aviv manager. Paul Ince probably won't make Christmas in charge of Blackpool.
