Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 Finally got my enchantment up to the kind of level I want, strengthwise - for the first time, I feel happy enchanting up a weapon (ebony mace, with 24 shock damage) and using it as a main one-handed weapon. Keith Houchen
I've got a fuckload of weapons and dragon bones stashed in my house. I've also got a new follower, the bird from the East shipping place. She is good but she is no Lydia. It still hurts, I miss her.
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 I was playing a companion quest, and the missus walked in. "What the fuck, where's Lydia?" she asked, and I had to take a timeout to convince her that Lydia was just sitting silently behind my door in Breezehome, waiting for the call. Keith Houchen
Ah Breezehome, took me a fucking age to work out that was my house. Bought it and decorated it and all that but had no idea where it was in the town. It was only when I tried to break it and the door opened that I twigged. Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 Anyone got the most expensive house yet? I'm just saving in case one of the houses has all mod-cons - not the Jam album, but forge, grindstone, etc.

Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 I loaded up a save the other day and Lydia was gone. I went in search for here to Dragonsreach and my old house and she was nowhere to be found, I was gutted. Assumed dead somewhere. Begrudgingly, I paid a mercenary to follow me round but it wasn't the same, he was nothing compared to the great Lydia. 5 days passed and I fast travelled to Whiterun to sell some loot, I thought I'd check out Breezehome to see if there was anything left behind and there was Lydia, sitting at the table upstairs. Rejoice! Â Also, Breezehome is for paupers. The mighty Markarth house is where it's at, you fucking peasants. Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 Yeah, the Markarth house is pretty sweet - I've got a system right now, where I have stuff to be improved and sold on in Whiterun, and stuff to be improved and either used or sold in Markarth. Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 I also read that Fast travel time between Markarth and Whiterun is 24 in game hours, so one trip from Markarth to Whiterun and back is 2 games days, thus replenishing all traders stock/Money on each return visit. Handy.
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted January 17, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 17, 2012 Yup, it's a nice way to make money, especially now that I'm wearing the Masque of Clavicus Vile.
neil is brill
I'm annoyed with this game. I came across a bit of a game breaking glitch today. After doing the Companions quest "Purity Of Revenge" the quest that's supposed to come afterwards "Glory Of The Dead" hasn't activated, and all of my auto saves are from after this point, so my only option to fully finish the Companions quests is to start my entire game from the beginning. Very disappointed.
Stinky Dad
A mate of mine has had the same problem after over 100 hours of gameplay with a different mission. He wasn't impressed either.
neil is brill
Pretty shocked there hasn't been a patch for it either. Looking on a few forums it seems to be a common problem. PC owners can use console commands to reactive the quest. Bastards.
King_Of_Bling_Bling
Funny parody of the skyrim theme. Â
Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted January 23, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 23, 2012 The temptation got too much for me the other day so I spent a good hour getting my Smithing from 70 up to 100 by just making iron daggers between Whiterun/Markarth warping. It was a soul destroying experience but I was happy for the Dragon Armour in the end. Motivation to play the game has been pretty low over the last few days though
