LSM
http://m.tmz.com/#Article/2015/08/03/jimmy-superfly-snuka-stomach-cancer Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka -- a wrestling legend who had an intense rivalry with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in the 1980s -- has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. In an interview with Bill Apter, Snuka's wife, Carole, said the 72-year-old legendary highflier recently underwent surgery to remove part of his stomach and his lymph nodes. The hope, according to Carole, is that the surgery was able to remove the cancer entirely. Carole said of Snuka's recovery, "He still has a long road ahead of him, and the doctor says he's an amazingly strong man. We all know how strong Jimmy is, and Jimmy can take a beating." She added, "He also wants to let his fans know that he's not done yet."
LSM
http://www.gofundme.com/helpjerrylynn After a 25-year career in professional wrestling, our good friend Jerry Lynn needs our help. All of the years of taking bumps have paid a toll on his body and, after consulting his physician, he is in need of several procedures. Jerry has been experiencing chronic neck pain as well as pain in his right arm and numbness. The first procedure will be neck surgery to remove bones spurs, replace three degenerative discs, and fuse his vertebrae. He will be having this procedure done on Thursday, August 6. Jerry has also been suffering with severe pain in his back for the last three months due to a bulging disc. He will likely need surgery for this as well, and he hopes to have that done as soon as possible following his neck surgery. Jerry does have medical insurance, but he needs help in paying the $5,000 deductible. Plus, he will be out of work recovering for 2-3 months, which will put a hardship on his family, including his wife and young daughter. It is time for us as a wrestling community to pull together and give back to Jerry after everything he has done for us, his fans. To help cover all of his expenses, we are hoping to raise $15,000. Jerry would like to give anything over that amount to charity to help others in need. The charity he has chosen is the Nashville Rescue Mission which seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing, and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life degrading problems. If you've ever been a fan of Jerry from his early days in Minnesota to Extreme Championship Wrestling, Ring of Honor and TNA Wrestling where he was a pioneer of the X Division, now is the time where you can give back. Anything you can give from pennies to dollars will mean a lot to help with his medical bills and his family during his recovery. We appreciate all of your support for our good friend Jerry Lynn. TheShowOff
Always had a soft spot for Jerry Lynn. I remember being gutted in 2001 when he didn't do anything of note in the WWE.
