Undertaker's Retirement

Stunstone316 vs Dirty Eddie vs vince russo

At Wrestlemania The Undertaker defeats Triple H once again, this time in an even more closely-fought match. On the same PPV, Randy Orton fails to get his belt back from Mark Henry. There was a Ref bump and Orton teased nailing Henry with a chair, but decided against it. He instead set up for the RKO, but got caught and Slammed to Hell, losing the match clean.

Over the next few weeks, we don't see Taker at all, and all the talk around Orton is that he lacked the

Thanks Mim, and with that...

THE SEMI'S ARE COMPLETE.

I'll now consult with the judges and I'll hope to reach a decision by the end of the weekend. In the mean time, thanks to all of you for getting your entries in and thanks to Stunstone for taking part even though he had to withdraw.

THE SEMI FINAL RESULTS!!!!!

This was an absolute bastard of a round. After going to the panel, the results were tighter than a camel's backside in a sandstorm. But decisions have been made, and the final is is upon us.

First of all, all five Semi-final entries were brilliant. Some top quality writing and some fantastic ideas throughout. I thank you all for getting them in and congratulate you on making it so far.

Without further adue....

'Taker's retirement

Vince Russo keeps with Undertaker's gimmick really nicely. As send-offs go, this one references several characters from Undertaker's past and provides a compelling and interesting build up to a big match with Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. With regards to the Mania match, the booking is clever because until Kane arrives, you'd genuinely think that the streak is done and dusted. The final part of this entry where he walks off into the light should make for an incredible visual and one hell of a symbolic departure. Overall, this one plays to the strengths of Undertaker's character really well and puts an interesting spin on the end of his career.

Dirty Eddie gives Randy Orton a new lease of life, effectively earmarking him as a replacement as WWE's new phenom over the departing 'Taker. Again, the build is good and in both entries it's nice to see Summerslam getting a big match that ultimately means something. The match itself and the result wrap things up nicely and puts over Orton incredibly convincingly. It almost feels like a second Wrestlemania, which is exactly what should be the case. We get another symbolic departure here with the druids, another 'Taker staple. Overall, Eddie's high standard of effort continues with another excellent entry.

Cena's heel turn

BigBoot is renowned on the board for his wealth of knowledge and information he provides. This entry is no different and one judge in particular was impressed with how much he'd managed to cram into this entry. Cena effectively holding WWE hostage is a nice touch and actually puts him across as an even bigger deal than he already is. Nice touch with Otunga as the lawyer and his personal announce team. Cena taking on the remnants of the attitude era is also nicely done. Overall, another well mapped out and informative entry from BigBoot, par for the course for him in this competition.

NEWM May well have penned possibly the most memorable opening segment in the history of Raw with that mass attack from Cena on the legends. The heartfelt promo that comes shortly afterwards would work brilliantly and with a coked up delivery from Cena it would go down a treat. And flipping off the troops?! Christ. Cena/U/ndertaker at Wrestlemania with Miz getting involved in the finish wraps things up really nicely, meeting the criteria of the entry in convincing and energetic fashion. Overall, another great entry from NEWM, who doesn't so much turn Cena heel but seems to turn him into an Uber-heel of sorts.

Mim731 goes down an interesting road of having Cena put over several of his colleagues before an alliance with Zack Ryder. Ryder himself is built up quite well through this entry. Cena's eventual turn on him is bound to be one filled with emotion and shock from the audience, the write-up here is well executed in that regard. The gradual changes in Cena's look and overall character are really nicely done too. Sheamus is built up nicely as WWE's new top guy and as stated, Ryder gets some nice coverage through it also. Overall, Mim puts in another great effort on his part. Arguably a real dark horse throughout this competition who's slipped in under the radar.

Cena's Heel Turn Winner....

NEWM

What really swung it was the epic opening segment on Raw's 20th anniversary show. From here you had Cena flipping off the troops and excellent build throughout. All three entries were absolute crackers, but NEWM shades it by the thinnest of thin whiskers. To give you an idea of just how tight things were, each entry had at least one vote!

'Taker's retirement winner....

vince russo

Another bastard to judge, because both entries had differeing styles. Russo went for many of Undertaker's classic conventions and past interactions while Eddie built up the match with Randy Orton brilliantly. One judge even went for a tie option because he couldn't call it either way. Ultimately though, russo's use and interaction of 'Taker's past allies/opponents scored what is arguably a real upset victory.

So there you have it. Your final for the UKFF Booking Cup 2011 is

NEWM VS vince russo

Scenario to be revealed shortly. Thanks again to Mim, Eddie and BigBoot for taking part and again I'd like to stress that this was a stupidly tough decision. Everyone in the Semi-Final has been in with a shout at going into the final.

Congrats to the winners, and thanks to all of you for sticking with it. We're actually going to finish a tourne style thread on the UKFF!

Final

NEWM vs Vince Russo

This could go either way, but the main reason I've gone for it is that with the actual match aside, you've got total freedom to book any feud/feuds of any kind you want leading up to it. You could carry on existing storylines from your previous entries or simply create something new and improved.

My thanks to all 32 of you who signed up in the first place, and the best of luck to both NEWM and Vince Russo, who've both been tremendous contestants up to this point.

With that being said, your final scenario is....

WARGAMES

It's about damn time we had a Wargames match in the WWE. For your final scenario, book the build up for it's first Wargames match, including choosing the feuds that lead into it. Pay off the respective angles with the mother of all Wargames matches. You have COMPLETE creative freedom. Participants, rivalries, the match itself, the event that hosts it, everything.

Best of luck!

The winner should copy the 1992 scenario word for word to guarantee success.

YES! A HUNDRED TIMES YES!

Sorry to shout, but I have to second this. What a brilliant build up to an brilliant match. Fucking love early 90's WCW!
