MoistVaj
Bayern 0 - 2 Chelsea   A frustrating game again for Bayern, a lot tighter than the final, and the 2 nil margin flattered Chelsea in the end, it was a tough tough game, a midfield battle ensued and at half time only 2 shots for Chelsea and one for Bayern proving how close the margins were here. It took a fortunate rebound off Badstuber to drop kindly to Drogba to finally break the deadlock with less than 20 minutes to go, Bayern attempted to strike back and introduced Muller who immediately beat Terry and laid off to Robben who saw his stinging 25 yard drive palmed away by Cech, but it was as close as they would come to scoring. Drogba slotted in a one on one with a minute to play and it was game over. First defeat for the Bayern boys, but they'll look to pick themselves up this week and get back on the goalscoring trail. MoistVaj
Week 2 (Mon 28th March -> Sun 3rd April) Below are the results, awards and updated scorer tables for this week. Any games that are left over and played during next week will be updated accordingly as and when. When I was doing the write ups some managers hadn't gone into very much detail at all when writing up their results so if you want considering for an end of week award and ultimately an end of season can I ask that you put just a tad more effort into it? Add a little spice; how was the game? did the best team win? etc etc.  A.C. Milan 5 v 2 Atletico Madrid (Forlan 2) Ibrahimovic (2) Pato Robinho Cassano  A dominant victory for Milan although Diego Forlan must be considered the early pick for golden boot as he picked up another two goals for Athleti.  Arsenal 0 v 0 Man Utd No goals in this one and not much to write I'm afraid.  Bayern Munich 5 v 1 Aston Villa (Agbonlahor, Robben 2 Gomez 2 Ribery) Dortmund v Chelsea Everton v Lyon Man City 0 v 0 Barcelona  Napoli 2 v 3 Liverpool (Kuyt Agger Carroll) Lavezzi Cavani  Quite literally a game of 2 halves. Kuyt and Agger scoring for Liverpool along with their in form powerhouse Andy Carroll picking up another goal. Napolis efforts came from Lavezzi and Cavani, both of whom themselves having scored previously. This game seemed to suffer from a bit of lag and certain connection issues which may have hampered things for both teams but fair play to Napoli for their sportsmanship in accepting this result.  Real Madrid 1 v 2 Tottenham ( Crouch 2) Adebayor  A tough game for Madrid as their usual slick passing game was negated by a strong, tough tackling Spurs side who took the 3 points deservedly in this contest. Tottenham lead 2-0 by half time with Crouch twice scoring for the londeners. Madrid pushed for a way back in during the second half and didn't find one until the 90th minute with the last touch of the game being an Adebayor header.  Roma 0 v 4 Inter (last week)  Aston Villa 1 v 1 Napoli ( Cavani) Young  A spirited game between two stalwarts of the UKFF Fifa tournament system. Villa took teh lead early on when the referee gave what was adjudged by the Napoli boss to be a 'debatable freekick,' but what wasn't debtable was the quality of the strike from Ashley Young. Napoli would equalise just before half time throught that man again Lavezzi and would be the side liklier to find a winner in the second half but for some goal keeping heroics from Friedel keeping them out.  Atletico Madrid 2 v 3 Everton (Saha 2, Arteta ) Forlan Ufalujsi  Everton took a two nil lead in this game and seemed destined for an easy victory but a lapse of confidence allowed Madrid back into the game and they duly equalised with golden boot favourite Diego Forlan picking up another goal. A close second half scrap would see Everton find the winner and secure all three points in which sees them make a very strong start to the season.  Barcelona 2 v 0 Arsenal Villa (2)  Two goals in the first 16 minutes from David Villa wrapped this game up for Barcelona in a game that created very little of further note. A tough midfield battle but it's these hard fought victorys that make all the difference come the end of the season.  Chelsea 2 v 0 Bayern (Drogba 2)  Real Madrid 3 - 1 Liverpool ( Carroll) Ronaldo (2) Kaka  This match was brought forward a week as Madrid's match with Inter was postponed. A tight affair that would see Madrid pick up their first victory of the campaign against a Liverpool side who also had their fair share of chances; particularly Andy Carroll who was guilty of wasting the pick of the bunch. Two goals from Ronaldo and one from Kaka were enough for the Spaniards whilst it was Carroll himself who got The Reds' consolation.   Liverpool 3 v 1 Roma ( Vucinic ) Kuyt Agger Gerrard  Daniel Agger and Dirk Kuyt both continue their scoring run for the home side as Liverpool were out of sight by half time. The game turned into a bigger uphill struggle for Roma once Juan was sent off and Gerrard scored Liverpools third from the resulting freekick. Roma battled on bravely and managed to find a consolation through Vucinic that would bring an element of hope in their quest for their first points of the season.   Lyon v Dortmund  Man Utd 0 v 4 A.C. Milan (Ibrahimovic, Cassano, Nesta, Robinho)  More dominance from Milan that will probably see them crowned the team of the week. This time they overcame a United side seemingly all too easily. Robinho, Cassano and Ibra once again amongst the goals for the Italians. Tottenham v Man City   I gave in depth reports for both of my games but you've not reported anything on either of them

TUFCfan
Napoli 2 - 3 Chelsea  Clinical finishing by the tournament champions cost Napoli a deserved share of the spoils in a rainy game. Napoli controlled a fair bit of the first half, with a newly changed Napoli defence sweeping up most Chelsea attacks. Napoli took the lead in the 34th minute when a Hamsik corner was headed home by Paolo Cannavaro. Napoli almost scored a second in injury time when an opportunistic Mascara freekick hit the post and went out for a goal kick. From the resulting goal kick Napoli won the midfield battle and came away with the ball and Cavani fed the ball to Lavezzi who curled in a shot from the edge of the area under pressure from Terry to put Napoli two up just before the break. Napoli were comfortably ahead at half-time and had outshot Chelsea 5 to 1. Napoli went on the attack after the kickoff but a misplaced pass set up a Chelsea counter and a Torres pass set Drogba clear to get a goal back for Chelsea. Napoli started to look nervy and weren't attacking with the same confidence as in the first half. Chelsea equalised in the 68th minute when a through ball was picked up by Malouda who ran in to the box and slid the ball past De Sanctis in the Napoli goal. Napoli almost regained the lead when a low Cavani effort forced Cech to make a smart save down to his right. It was Chelsea who took the lead though when Torres took the ball from a dozing Cannavaro and managed to slide the ball under an onrushing De Sanctis just before the 'keeper reached the ball. It was hard on Napoli who ended the game having had seven shots to Chelsea's four. It was telling that Chelsea had three shots on target and all three resulted in goals.  Napoli goals: Cannavaro 34, Lavezzi 45 Chelsea goals: Drogba 49, Malouda 68, Torres 78. Stinky Dad
Week 2 (Mon 28th March -> Sun 3rd April)  Below are the results, awards and updated scorer tables for this week. Any games that are left over and played during next week will be updated accordingly as and when. Add a little spice; how was the game? did the best team win? etc etc.  Also any games that are played in advance will only be reported on during the week they are scheduled and to keep things simple the scorers will also only be added in that particular week. Bayern Munich 5 v 1 Aston Villa (Agbonlahor) Gomez (2) Robben (2) Ribery  Last weeks team of the week staked their claims for the title of team of the week for the second week running with a brilliant performance at home to a usually resolute Aston Villa. Robben and Gomez combined with eachother to produce the first and second goals respectively. In the second half Gomez doubled his tally and straight afterwards Villa got a goal back via Gabby Agbonlahor. The fightback was on.....or was it? Bayern had other ideas - Robben scored a sublime goal for Bayerns fourth and Ribery completed the rout in stoppage time. Bayern are going to be one of the teams to beat if anyone has aspirations of claiming the league title.  Dortmund 0 v 3 Chelsea Torres (2), Malouda.  Chelsea rage on with two more goals for Torres.  Everton v Lyon  Man City 0 v 0 Barcelona  A share of the spoils for both sides in what was a hard fought battle with few chances for either side. Barca could've won it late on but Joe Hart earned his side a share of the points stopping Villa's shot.  Napoli 2 v 3 Liverpool (Kuyt Agger Carroll) Lavezzi Cavani  Quite literally a game of 2 halves. Madrid pushed for a way back in during the second half and didn't find one until the 90th minute with the last touch of the game being an Adebayor header.  Roma 0 v 4 Inter  See last week. The scorers were also added last week to the charts.  Aston Villa 1 v 1 Napoli ( Cavani) Young  A spirited game between two stalwarts of the UKFF Fifa tournament system. A tough midfield battle but it's these hard fought victorys that make all the difference come the end of the season.  Chelsea 2 v 0 Bayern Drogba (2)  Drogba scored twice for Chelsea in a game that the scoreline possibly flattered them in. These two sides are expected to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season so this win for Chelsea could end up being a title decider even this early into the campaign.  Real Madrid 3 - 1 Liverpool ( Carroll) Ronaldo (2) Kaka  This match was brought forward a week as Madrid's match with Inter was postponed. Milan (Ibrahimovic, Cassano, Nesta, Robinho)  More dominance from Milan that will probably see them crowned the team of the week. This time they overcame a United side seemingly all too easily. Robinho, Cassano and Ibra once again amongst the goals for the Italians.  Tottenham 1 v 1 Man City (Dzeko) Crouch  A cagey affair with Dzeko putting City ahead finishing past Cudicini, a couple of substitutions livened Spurs up a bit and a corner in the second half was met by the towering head of Peter Crouch to secure a point. Crouch is another man who is staking an early claim for the golden boot. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GAMES LEFT TO PLAY :-  Two weeks ago - Arsenal v Lyon Barcelona v Man Utd Lyon v A.C. Milan  Last Week - Everton v Lyon Lyon v Dortmund   -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- END OF WEEK AWARDS.  Match of the Week - A difficult one this week with quite a few high scoring games but the seven goal thriller between AC Milan and Athletico Madrid run off with the spoils for this week.  Team of the Week - Another award that is going to AC MILAN this week; a 5-2 and a 4-0 victory meant that their fans had plenty to cheer this week. Ibrahimovic is another player who is staking a claim for the golden boot.  Player of the week - Diego Forlan. Even when his side were losing Forlan was able to score the goals that will eb oh so improtant to his team this season. An Early favourite with the bookies for the Golden Boot award.  Performance of the Week - A.C Milan. A Hat-trick of awards this week for Milan.
