CM Punk Fan Altercation

Only just read this on Wrestlezone now, haven't seen it reported around here, apoligies if it has been:

Thanks to Jeremy Wilkins for sending in another eye witness account of the CM Punk/fan altercation which took place at the WWE Raw house show event last night in Shreveport, Louisiana:

"As C.M. Punk was exiting (following his match against Mark Henry), he was shouting at numerous fans at ringside. He approached a family with two small children and began to do the same.

After some lengthy jawing back and forth, he screamed at one of the kids (age 10 or so) to slap him. The child did so. Punk laughed it off and shouted, "Oh yea! Slap me again." At this point, he grabbed the kid by the shirt, thus sending the kid into tears and stretching out his shirt.

This is when it got real serious. Punk and the child's parents had to be separated. As Punk walked off, I could hear him yelling, "He scratched my eye," which was evident by a little bit of swelling.

Security then escorted the family away for questioning. They also questioned a few of us at ringside and requested contact numbers.

It will be interesting to see if Punk shows any effects from this. I thought this was instigated by Punk, but with that being said, fans should never place their hands on a Superstar."

Be interesting to see if there's any action taken against him, don't think the kids parents should have let the kid slap him, then again don't think Punk's out of the blame completely. If you give a free oppertunity to someone as young and child minded as a 10 year old and tell them to hit the bad guy, then they probably would take it, don't think he should have been as rough with the kid either.

If this is true, then its quite low. Using kids who are just there to have a laugh and watch the wrestling isnt on. I dont buy calling that 'heel heat', because its the cheapest form possible, especially on a shitty house show.

And 'superstars' should realise its all fake, and getting your rocks off by bringing a child into storylines doesnt make you a good heel. I could get lamped off a 10 year old if I wanted to, and they havent given me the belt ... yet.

I doubt WWE are planning on introducing a storyline where the fans are encouraged to come to the arenas and smack the wrestlers in the face.

Not the slap so much, more the fact Punk was yelling at possible C-Nation members, thus pissing off Cena.

How is that a dry run then? You wouldn't need a dry run to put a plant in the audience. Wrestlers shout at the audience all the time, so calling it a dry runs a bit daft.

I usually love getting fans involved, with the whole arguing with heels and so on as it gives fan interaction but also makes the heel seem a real bad guy but I must say Punk seems to have got very carried away there and I won't be too shocked if something comes out of this and Punk may be in a bit of trouble, which is very unfortunate as I usually love Punk's interactions with fans when he's a heel but after this they may tell him to cool it a bit. It's a bit of a strange one though, obviously Punk can say the kid hit him and the parents didn't step in but they can say Punk told their kid to hit him. But really to put your hands on a kid like it's been said Punk did there is a bit much, especially if it's enough to make them cry and he actually stretched his shirt out. So yeah I think Punk is really more in the blame here than anyone else.

Meh the child and his family will probably be given the royalty treatment by the WWE and all will be forgotton by the end of the week.

Sure it was a dumb move by Punk (who seems to have a reputation of being a bit of a cunt) but no where near as bad as people are making it out to be and certainly not as bad as something like Chris Jericho getting himself recorded having fist fights with random Women for example and fuck all came of that.

A total non story.

Mind you, he always has seemed like an Eddy Guerrero sized cunt as regards the fans.

Was Eddy a cunt to fans? I've never heard anything but good things about him.
