Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted July 9, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted July 9, 2013 Isn't that Hawkeye's gimmick anyway? It is, yes, but they could have updated it a tad. It looked fucking silly when there's a fleet of these alien things attacking him and he's Robin Hooding them. He's an assassin. He could have used a gun and occasionally used his bow and arrow for effect.

Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 10, 2013 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) I've said it before and now I say it again : Tne thing I absolutely hated about the Avengers flick - and I did really enjoy it on the whole - was Hawkeye's incessant, and majoritarily (is that a word? If not, it fucking should be) nonsensical use of his bow and arrow.  I really thought as a comic book and wrestling fan your powers of suspension of disbelief would be greater! Hawkeye without his classic costume or bow and arrow and <-- click on 'spoiler' to show/hide the spoiler spending half the movie as a bad guy  [close spoiler] ");document.close(); really wouldn't have been the character much at all. I mean, the whole flick is a fantastical, full pump action, wonderland and Thor is, and always has been, in my top 10 comic characters of all time since I was a kid, but the Hawkeye arrow reloading annoyed me for some reason. Plus, I enjoy tranny porn - if they look feminine enough and have brown nipples - so that pretty much proves I have an open mind. Now I wouldn't let them jockey me, I wouldn't be into that...plus I have IBS. I'd rather do them...do you get me, like?
Daaaaaad!
I quite liked the way they did the arrows with Hawkeye. It was implied that he does use guns but he's just a far better aim with the arrows, so he uses them. The revolving arrowhead-loader was pretty cool as well. iamtheman
Vin Diesel had his meeting with marvel today. No details yet but he did post a picture which everyone seems to think confirms what he will be doing unless he's just messing about   Marvel meeting today… Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…  P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!  people think it's vision because the word is in his statement. People have been pulling for that though Edited July 10, 2013 by iamtheman
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted July 11, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2013 He's not black enough to play Luke Cage, but then Sammy J isn't white enough to play Nick Fury either.
Paid Members chokeout Posted July 11, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2013 First official look of Electro. They really have gone for the Ultimate Spider-man version look
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 11, 2013 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 11, 2013 I've got to admit I have no knowledge of that version of Electro, I don't think he looks any less silly than a guy with a lightning bolt headdress though, I liked the first Amazing Spider-Man a lot and I'm looking foward to this one, it has Norman Osborne, The Rhino and the Vulture in it too so it's looking like it will be pretty packed out, I hope it's not too much like a Schumacher era Batman film (Electro looks it a bit). I have faith it will strike the right balance.  I really don't like Vin Diesel and I have no idea what Marvel role he could play, I don't think he'd be Vision, he'd be terrible, the Vision is supposed to be one of the most sensitive smart characters in the comics and he doesn't seem like the type of actor for that. Maybe he'll annoy every black comic fan and play the Black Panther.  Some more stuff  Arrow star wants in on Justice League - I bet he does! I love Arrow but I think his plan to be the new lynchpin of the Justice league is as funny as it is hopeful.  Andrew Garfield ponders Spider-Man's sexuality - says 'Why not make Mary Jane a black man?'  Winter Soldier teaser poster - nothing too exciting, really looking forward to the film though
iamtheman
Â Quite looking forward to this for some reason, well Hayley Atwell is lovely but the other one-shots have been quite fun and it should be interesting seeing what she gets up too. GalaxyV.2
Hayley Atwell is lovely. Always thought the twist in Avengers was going to be she was Tony Starks mother.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted July 12, 2013 Moderators Share Posted July 12, 2013 Vin Diesel should definitely be a bad guy, and a bit part one at that.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 15, 2013 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 15, 2013 Why are you avoiding every one of Levitt's films? Â I just don't buy him, he looks like a mixture between a little white boy and a stressed middle aged Chinese man. He's the boy that looked like a girl from 3rd rock from the sun, I have no desire to see him as a leading man, he doesn't do it for me. Also he was shit in Dark Knight Rises which was shit. Â Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Doctor Strange? Â Â NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!!!!!! Â If true this is hideous casting, there are loads of guys who'd be so much better. Â Â Â (in other news, had no idea about that Agent Carter short film, that's a great idea and after the buzz Marvel had with the "bits after the credits" of the Avengers set up films they could get people going crazy for short films with lesser characters who'd never get their own movies. DC do it with their animations and it's great)
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted July 19, 2013 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 19, 2013 I read something so awesome that I can't believe I didn't already know it- The 1960s Adam West Batman TV series was going to have Two-Face in it as one of the baddies and he was going to be played by Clint fucking Eastwood! But at the last minute they decided he was too gory for the tone of the show. Damn, that would've been amazing.   Also in more Batman never was casting news here's a list of people who were considered for the role of Batman before Michael Keaton got it in Tim Burton's 1989 film  Alec Baldwin, Jeff Bridges, Emilio Estevez, Matthew Broderick, Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, Michael J. Fox, Harrison Ford, Robert Downey Jr., Kevin Spacey, Patrick Swayze, Dennis Quaid, Kurt Russell, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Bill Murray, Pierce Brosnan, Tom Selleck, Daniel Day-Lewis, Tom Hanks, Kevin Kline and Bruce Willis were considered for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.  Spacey, Broderick, Tom Hanks, Bill Murray, Michael J Fox and Arnie are all pure "What the fuck?" I could see some of the others though, especially Kurt Russel, Dennis Quaid and Brosnan.  also for the same film Willem Dafoe, David Bowie, John Lithgow, Tim Curry, and James Woods were considered for The Joker.  Dafoe or Curry would've been awesome. Bowie's a mental choice, would've been great to see.
