Moderators PowerButchi Posted July 7, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 7, 2010 Everybody should read Harley Race's book. Especially you Butch. I wasn't aware there was one! Rest assured that'll be going on the credit card.
seasider
Any recommendations for MMA fighters books? As previously mentioned Jens Pulver's "Little Evil" book - depresing, but a must read. more about pre MMA than MMA however you will have a new found respect for the man. The Reverend
I bought Dutch Mantell's book, came the other day but when I tried to read it all the pages started falling out. I've got a replacement coming, so hopefully it won't be the same. Book seems decent enough but more a series of stories or topics than an autobiography. I'd definitely recommend Dutch's book. Although, like you say it's not strictly an autobiography, it is fun with some amazing anecdotes and stories. I believe he's got another one in the pipeline. Smeg_&_The_Heads
I've just read the new Goldust one and TBH the very best thing I can say about it is it's OK I couldn't honestly say it's good but it's not the worse one out there. I'm glad I got the paper back one and only spent

Paid Members Vipes Posted February 5, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted February 5, 2011 Having just completed it I highly recommend J. J. Dillon's book. The stories in it are great and it gives a really good insight into Vince McMahon.
Teq
This is the one of the best wrestling books I've ever read, certainly the best non-autobiography. There's a lot of books on Stampede considering it was never a particularly well-reknowned territory at the time it was running, I don't think the Apter mags even acknowledged it until it's rebirth in the late 80s. I wish there were books as comprehensive as this one about some of the other territories. THIS. It's glorious. One of the top wrestling books out there. Richie Freebird
I actually thought Dibiase's book was fairly bland Richie. The only good bits being when he was winding down his wrestling career. Not enough depth to his actual WWF days, and generally quite a lazy effort. I was generally surprised by Batista's book, it was a decent read. Can
