I know it’s not the be all end all, but if you were to use Spotify Monthly Listeners as a barometer, as @Merzbow mentioned Ghost are big (9.3m), but Måneskin have more than double that (23.1m, which is 4m more than Black Sabbath to give some context). The majority of that id imagine is across mainland Europe (especially in their homeland of Italy) but last time they were over here they were playing the arenas. Bad Omens (6.9m) and Shinedown (8.5m) are both pretty popular, while Bring Me The Horizon are probably the biggest UK act (13.6m), and Sleep Token (5m) have had a big couple of years in terms of growth The 1975? They have 22.4m. Previous Glastonbury headliners as well. Quote

Absolutely, they’re got more than everyone we’ve just mentioned (57.1m), but would they be classed as a heritage act now? I wouldn’t say so necessarily but some might, it all depends on how you’re defining Contemporary Rock. There’s probably people who call Coldplay Contemporary Rock Edited October 18 by WyattSheepMask Quote

Merzbow Posted Thursday at 02:54 PM Posted Thursday at 02:54 PM If anyone has a ShowFilmFirst account check you emails for a fiver ticket to see Despised Icon, Carnifex & Suffocation. I wasn't going as it was usually 30 quid butI'm guessing sales are so low they're giving them away. Quote

I remember buying my dad tickets for U2 about 20 years ago and thinking "these cunts are taking the fucking piss with these prices". Probably insanely cheap compared to whatever these will be. Quote

The only saving grace is a mate has said he'll buy them and I can pay him back in installments, so I'll be Stuck In An Owing, I Can't Get Out Of (sorry) Also the stage set up shows no front and back standing, which on one hand is a good thing, but on the other means the GA standing will probably be even more. I reckon standing is 150-175 ffs, but I've always said them, REM and Fleetwood Mac are the three I'd just hold my nose and pay. Where The Streets Have No Kane (again, sorry) Quote

When I was younger I went to see sounds of the underground (Chimaria, Madball, Unearth, Terror, All That Remains and Manntis) for £18. The most expensive gig i went to was Slayer, In Flames, Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom and Thine Eyes bleed but that was only £28 Quote
