What have you been watching on (proper scripted) telly?

I caught a bit of this last night, when two guys get into an argument at the counter and one offers the other one to step outside.

There was something really ritualistic about the encounter. They jostled each other for a minute or so in the queue, then got into a fairly mild discussion over who was a cunt, before pondering what to do about it, and then finally mutually agreeing to go outside together. It looked like they were picking each other up for a shag, to be honest.

I've never really had the urge to go pick fights in chicken shops, but is this some sort of "scene"?

Premier Ambitions on Setanta Ireland. One of my best mates is the main coach in it (Terry), and they are doing a hatchet job on him. Nicest bloke in the world and generous to a fault, yetis being made look like he's Stalin incarnate. Great show though, really is and very funny from my point of view as he had a D-Fens Foster moment last night.

Anyone in Ireland who has Setanta and likes their football, it's a great watch to be honest.

What does that even mean? "don't like the thought of lamb"?

Like you don't like the idea of the BBC, but you enjoy all their products..? ;)

Much in the same way people don't like veal, I would imagine. Sure it may be delicious, but the over-riding thought is of a baby animal being snatched off its mother. Is that hard to understand Chester?

The BBC should be commercialised. Yes.

People's pissed up morals surrounding the eating of meat really irk me. Do you eat takeaway chicken? Chicken bought from the rotisserie at the supermarket? All of them suffer far worse conditions than British lamb. Grow up.

The very fact that you're happy to eat "mystery meat" from a kebab shop, but then only have a moral issue for when it turns out to be lamb is utterly ridiculous. I'm sure an organic lambchop had a better life than your battery chicken burger.

edit - what Mike said.

Haha! How patronising! I'm not saying it's rational, it's just the way I feel! Calm yourself down. I don't want to start any beef (OR LAMB) with the "HIPPITY HOP CREW , BLUD"

Edit - Also, I'm not taking any moral stand for the rights of the little lamb chops. I fully understand animals are treated like shit in regards to ending up on my plate. It's a natural reaction I have, it automatically happens. I'm not saying it's rational and I'm certainly not going on a moral fucking crusade. God.

On the irrational attitudes towards meat front, I don't like any meat that looks like meat, except steak. If something looks like the carcass of an animal or has bones, it puts me off. For the most part, I'm happier with something that's been processed into a disc or goujon or dinosaur shape, or at least covered in breadcrumbs or batter.
