The rest wasn't bad. Red Velvet looked pretty decent and convinced me more than some of her recent AEW stuff.

The Gail Kim segment was pretty genuinely emotional.

Commentary was worse than an episode of AEW Rampage.

I enjoyed it being my first NWA show in over a year but agree the commentary was awful, Galli just hasn't improved at all since I last watched when he had Barrett with him, no idea who the middle guy was and Velvet Sky, much as I love her from her Impact days, added nothing other than getting over emotional at the Mickie James promo and the Kong/Gail segment. It improved slightly with everyone's favorite babyface Tim Storm being out there for the Kamille/Hirsch match but Medusa couldn't have sounded less arsed during the Women's Tag Title final. Both ring announcers were shite as well, the female one sounded worse than early Lillian Garcia which is some achievement

Unskippable ads on YouTube that go longer than 10 seconds, especially when it's usually the same one on every video, either the Canva presentation ad or Furniture Homes or a PSA on the benefits of biking

So 2 and 3 happened, just not the way I suggested they might. Not seen the show yet just the reaction to the SD Women’s ‘match’ and ooof, there’s ways they could have done it better. I’ll be fucking glad to see the back of Sasha though if she’s no showed because of her anti-vax/anti-COVID beliefs, especially after being pictured dining with Kalisto and Bayley near the stadium 

Holy shit that pop was something else, bigger than any of the Chi-Town pops he got in WWE. Haven’t gotten to watch much of the promo other than laying the challenge to Darby for All Out but that is going to be one hell of a rub, working Punk’s first match in 7 1/2 years while having Sting in his corner

Haku returning at the Rumble caught me off guard at the time because of the combination of him coming out to the Headshrinkers theme (ironically he would team with a heel Rikishi for a few months after this) and that as Meng he'd won the WCW Hardcore title the week before at WCW's Sin PPV

Man scary period for one of the soundest guys in the business, glad he’s on the mend and able to return to the ring

Bringing this back from the wilderness because I finally got round to watching the Demon Slayer movie this afternoon, wow what a stunning piece of animation and fits perfectly within the story of the first season, hopefully season two, when it arrives, will continue the trend

Also managed to watch the first two My Hero Academia movies via Netflix the other day, decent films that make a nice side piece to the main show, just hope Netflix add the third film and the rest of the seasons, particularly the current 5th season as I'm a fair bit behind on episodes atm

An episode of Raw in 2005, main event is Cena and 2 partners against Jericho, Christian and Tomko, HBK stepped up as one of his partners and came out to a massive pop, after Cena's modest one. Michaels gets on the mic to do the intro for the third man, referring to the individual as 'my favorite tag team partner, and soon to be yours (pointing at Cena), the one....the only...........THE IMMORTAL HULK HOGAN!!!' Cue Cena dropping to his knees in shock and the roof blowing off the Arrowhead Pond and JR's call of 'IT'S HOGAN, IT'S HOGAN...OH MY GOD IT'S HULK...HOGAN'

Space Jam A New Legacy - oh wow was this disappointing, the plot made no sense and some of the CG effects were awful. The best parts were probably LeBron being in the Looney Tunes world fully animated and the cameo by Rick and Morty handing Taz over

Watched a trio of Disney films this afternoon, all on Disney Plus

Soul - been meaning to get round to watching this since it was released at Christmas, its a nice premise and the animation is beautiful but I felt it dragged a bit in parts

Luca - I liked the look of it from the trailer and it didn't disappoint, again the the animation was gorgeous and it was a beautiful story, couldn't stand the titular character's mum though, proper snide right until her face turn at the end

Raya and the Last Dragon - I surprisingly enjoyed it, wasn't expecting to as it looked a bit similar in style to Mulan but it was good, though I found the dragon to be very annoying in her human form

Mausoleum - watched this through the Arrow player the other day, typical 80s cheesefest. A 10 year old orphan unlocks a demon who possesses her, and in adult life turns her into a manipulative seductress who kills anyone who gets on the wrong side of her. The make up effects for when she turns demonic are good as it’s the suit for the demon but the glowing eye effect is really hokey

It’s mental, even Richarlison has gone with Brazil having been part of the Copa America squad, paid off so far with his hat trick yesterday like but I’d have rather him rested ready to start the season with the Blues, we won’t have him playing now till late August/early September now
