  1. Jerry Lawlerā€™s was a funny one in 97, gets up from the announce desk with the immortal line ā€˜It takes a kingā€¦ā€™, jumps over the ropes into two right hands from Bret back over the ropes and stumbles back to the desk to finish with ā€˜ā€¦to know a kingā€™ then spends the rest of the match delirious and denying he was ever in the match despite what Vince and JR were telling him

  2. Away from any of the menā€™s stuff on Dynamite, Serena Deeb came off as one nasty and vindictive bitch in that beat down on Shida, itā€™s a feud that didnā€™t really need a 4th match/angle and weā€™re now inevitably going to get a 5th when Hikaru returns but as itā€™s gone on Serena has gone deeper off the edge in wanting rid of her, purely because she lost what was supposed to be the rubber match

Only interest is in who the hell theyā€™re going to pad out the field with seen as theyā€™ve given away 7 ā€œsurpriseā€ entrants in an 18 person graphic.

The womenā€™s Tag Titles really do (and always have) mean fuck all donā€™t they? I had no idea Carmella & Zelina were the champs and Iā€™ve got no idea who they beat for them

Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley, who beat Natalya and Tamina to win them, who themselves beat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

  4. Triple H quits WWE, teams up with Shane McMahon and Gabe Sapolsky and purchases ROH, signing talent share deals with NWA, Impact and AEW

Vince names Nick Kahn as the new CEO and chairman of WWE, effectively retiring without saying as such

  5. Surprised but not mad that Brock won, it opens up a range of challengers in the Raw side with Big E, Lashley, Rollins, Owens, Balor, Edge and Miz whereas if he had dethroned Reigns there was only likely Roman, Drew (but heā€™s injured), Kofi and at a massive push Sheamus and Corbin

  6. I'm guessing the plan would have been either Brock winning by DQ/Count Out to set up a rubber match at the Rumble or the telegraphed Heyman/Reigns swerve to screw Brock. I don't see Brock winning, maybe tease something for the future with E or Lashley but I'm banking on either Seth or KO winning

The card as a whole looks decent, New Day/Usos should be another stellar match to add to their history, RK-Bro/Profits should be a good match as well as should Edge/Miz. Becky/Liv might be ok, but Liv needs to go over otherwise her push will be pointless while I don't think anyone cares for Drew v Moss, would have been better switching that for the Ricochet/Cesaro v Sheamus/Ridge match thats on the pre show

Blade Runner 2049 is currently on iPlayer for anyone who's inexplicably not seen it yet.

Would I need to rewatch the original first or could I just jump straight in?

  8. It appears she straight up quit and booked a flight home out of her own pocket after competing in a triple threat against Charlotte and Sasha on a house show and the company just pretty much went ā€˜meh, okā€™

  9. A lot of practical shit from mum this year, jeans for work as I've burned a hole on the inside leg of both pairs I use, loungewear for weekends, TMNT and JLA socks, a Joker t shirt, a new laptop case and a personalised Everton themed dinner tray cushion. Also got my staple movies (this year being The Fog and both parts of the Batman Longest Halloween adaptation) and a mini body spray set

Also got Ā£30 off my sister and her husband, a massive Dairy Milk bar off my nieces, an Amazon voucher off my cousin and a Funko off my mate and his missus of All For One from My Hero Academia

  10. Getting more involved with the prep for dinner this year, usually my jobs are to set up the bain marie to keep the sides warm, prep starters and pour the gravies into the boats but tomorrow Iā€™ll be coming in from work and straight (i.e after my takeaway) into chopping and peeling veg as itā€™s getting a bit harder for mum to do with her arthritis and will be doing more on the day

  11. Add me as another cyber ear to chew off, Iā€™d probably be shit at giving advice but I come from a place where one of my best friends, one of my cousins and 2 exes have/had mental health issues so Iā€™m very understandingĀ

  12. One of the big irritants to me concerning Cody is his entrance, it's too PPV for TV. If they cut out the lights out, the instrumentals and voiceover and just went straight into 'Kingdom' for TV appearances and saved the theatrics for PPV matches he would get far better reactions, having him come out the same tunnel as Arn would help too

What is it with WWE and not having 2nd generation wrestlers use their fathers name? NXT seems to be flooded with 2nd generation wrestlers now who all use different names.

Previous examples I can think of in the past were Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas, Michael Mcgilicutty and the Usos. But it just seems even more obvious now.

Itā€™s so they can forge their own paths without the family name overshadowing them, the Usos for example wouldnā€™t nearly have been as successful had they gone by the Fatus and worn Headshrinker style gear

  14. Havenā€™t seen last nightā€™s show so only going off results but Iā€™m liking the old vs new feel for the menā€™s Wargames match with Ciampa, Gargano, Dunne and Knight against Brekker, Hayes, Dā€™Angelo and Waller. Itā€™s potentially Garganoā€™s last match in NXT as well as his contract expires next Friday, 2 days before Takeover Wargames

Interesting move having KLR on the face side of the womenā€™s match too, the ladder match next week should be good between her and Dakota Kai for advantage in the match

Looks like weā€™re also going to get Strong vs Gacy for the Cruiserweight title and Imperium against either Oā€™Reilly and Wagner or Legado Del Phantasmo for the Tag Team titles at the show as well

  15. Even though I was the one who started the topic, I didn't watch the show in full as I'd read the results and reactions this morning and figured it wasn't worth wasting 3/4 hours of my evening so instead watched an 80 minute compilation on Youtube. Even that showed the show wasn't worth a toss, the clips of the 2 5v5 matches and the Battle Royal looked awful and the two big matches just seemed to be what they were, bookenders. For one of the old Big 4 events, and the last big PPV show of the year, the lack of hype and build really showed, hopefully they can put better effort in over the next five weeks to build a solid card for the New Years Day PPV
