  1. The NJPW representative in the All Atlantic Championship match will be decided by a 4 man tournament in of itself on NJPW’s shows next Monday and Tuesday

On Monday Clark Connors and Tomoaki Honma face off in one qualifier while Tomohiro Ishii faces Yoshinobu Kanemaru in the other qualifier

The two winners then face off on the following night for the right to be in the title match next Sunday

How long were they advertising the world title match knowing it wasn't going to happen because Matt was injured?

He only suffered the injury around 2 weeks ago, only got surgery on Thursday and most if not all of the build was pre taped

A couple of days ago I had an email in spam that was the focus of one of Jim Browning's recent videos claiming to be from Norton about a renewal being charged.

Those less aware are of course supposed to panic that they've been incorrectly charged and so call the number. And so the scam begins.

I had a couple of hours free and fancied being a prick to them for a bit, so spun up a virtual machine, put Windows 10 on and dressed it so it looked well used. I oped a browser and kept some tabs open, again, so it looked genuine.

Then I grabbed a parsed copy of the Natwest homepage and set it up as a local website. I created a local DNS entry and installed a dev SSL certificate so that it all looked the part. I then wrote a script to count down from when the page loaded before inserting panels into the page reading things like:

    "Reverse hack successful!"

    and

"Access granted to. CCTV port 8080"

    and stuff like that.

Then I called them from a temp VOIP number and let the fun begin. They of course wanted me to download AnyDesk which I did, playing the role of the dumb victim rather well. Once they'd got access to the machine, they pasted a Google document link into my browser (which was currently showing search results for Scottish holiday cottages). They asked me to fill it out, but I stalled them before announcing that I wanted to check my bank account to see how much money had been taken.

I loaded the "NatWest homepage" and then sat there enjoying the absolute panic from the other end of the phone when the scammer fell for it all, hook, line and sinker.

I then started syaing generic things like "Is that you I can see in the blue shirt?" and "Who's that sitting by the window"? I kept being put on mute whislt the scammer panicked and bought more of his twerps into the mix.

I lasted about 30 minutes listening to them squirm, swear, fake-laugh and threaten me whilst they kept the line and connection open so they could try and see what I'd done.

I ended it by loading a picture I'd prepared that simply read:

"FUCK OFF - Regards, everyone in the UK".

Absolutely tremendous and if it’s not on the ballot for 2022 post of the year, there’s something wrong

  4. I’ve gone from watching everything WWE and Impact in full a decade ago including PPV, to Raw/SD highlights, NXT/all AEW/NWA/nothing Impact and PPV a couple of years ago to now only watching Dynamite, Rampage and SD in full, clipping Raw and NXT and skimming PPVs these days

The very first England game in the format was a win in Spain touted as a massive achievement - at the time. Nobody remembers it today.

It's a shame that the promise of another trophy to potentially wave around doesnt excite anyone. See - Europa Conference League. Its not the Cup Winners Cup.

First England game in it was a defeat to Spain, at Wembley, on the back of the semi final defeat to Croatia and losing to Belgium for the second time in the tournament

  6. Respect the hell out of Cody for still performing, but I don’t think many would have complained if it had been a sub 10 minute match, to go 25 was utter lunacy

He’ll come back an even bigger face though on the basis of that performance, they need to massively capitalise on it when he does return if Roman hasn’t dropped one or both belts by then

I'm not talking about him being on the telly for wrestling or stuff he did 10 years ago. I'm talking about being on the telly last week with a stupid sad face saying he travels all over the world to watch Rangers and he's devastated that they lost on penalties in the final.

Also so many of the posters on this topic are doubting what I'm saying and just acting cynical without any good reason. I have the image saved on my phone but I can't seem to post it on this thread.

We’re acting cynical because either you’re a really odd stalker to a known nonce, or you actually are said nonce trying a shameless cover up account to post on here without any of the seasoned posters twigging on and failing

  8. Player of the season: Jordon Pickford with a close second mention for Alex Iwobi

Goal of the season: considering how shite we’ve been, we’ve scored a fair few bangers, Townsend v Burnley, Gray v Arsenal and Richarlison v Norwich but for sheer emotion, it’s got to be DCL v Palace on Thursday, the type of header Andy Gray would have been proud of

Best performance: Chelsea away, squad hit with injuries and COVID, everyone expecting a hefty defeat and we somehow got a deserved point

Worst performance: both games v Watford, one we shouldn’t have lost from 2-1 up, the other we didn’t have the urgency to beat them with half a team out

    Worst player: Jon Joe Kenny

    One to watch: Anthony Gordon

Highlight: Thursday night without question, from utter despair at half time to sheer delirium at full time

Just finished watching Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers 2022

It really is the Roger Rabbit of this generation, tons of fun, hundreds of cameos, if you were a child of the 80s/90s you really need to watch it.

I’m near the end of it now, such a fun movie with brilliant meta humour

Genuinely haven't cried like this in years. The whole season just came pissing out of me lamps.

Me poor dog is still doing shuttles and the sitting room has been turned inside out with a bottle of single malt spilled on the floor and my poor mate took a full pelt slap across the face after DCL pumped that in.

Fucking Everton. Wouldn't change them for the world.

I feel you pal, I had us done for at half time and then the bastards pulled that second half out, my hands were shaking all through stoppage time

Sunday is going to be a blessed afternoon now knowing we aren’t in the fight, not sure who I want staying up now though

  11. Fully support Sasha and Naomi on this, but do feel a bit for Doudrop and Nikki getting told they were in a main event match for a title shot only to have it pulled away because two of their opponents walked out instead of just changing it to a 4 way

From what I can gather Naomi was supposed to win, with Sasha being lined up as Rousey’s next challenger but they were angling for a tag title match with Doudrop and Nikki at Hell in a Cell which was nixed several times

  12. Taco Bell was pretty much a luxury for a while for me as I’d only get it any time I was up in Manchester but I’ve only eaten in the Liverpool one a couple times since it opened, mainly cos you can never tell if they’re open or not since the pandemic hit, the odd days they have the shutters on around the time they’re supposed to be open

My go to is any of the box meal deals with the fries as I love the ‘Mexican’ seasoning on them but I’m hit and miss on the churros if they have them as the sweet as I’m convinced they used to have just plain sugar on them not the cinnamon one while I hate the twists as they taste like overly sweet crackers

There's a random match on Dark this week - Brandon Cutler v Konosuke Takeshita from DDT Pro.  Takeshita looks like a REAL prospect.  Forget the old men AEW seem keen on from Japan, this kid is fantastic and has a style and look that would work very well in AEW or indeed WWE.

Also on the show, Statlander v Julia Hart was pretty awkward on both their parts.  More work needed.

It’s Dark Elevation that match is on, it was ‘set up’ on this week’s BTE because in that universe the Bucks felt Cutler embarrassed them by filming the Hardyz putting them down for being too emo and down to work

A quick 10 minute Q & A with MJF from this past weekend in Liverpool.

Amongst all the swearing and insults there's some pretty decent answers given.

All improved as well considering he hadn’t been scheduled to do one that day. I hope Monopoly put up the other Q&As from the weekend as there were some ones I missed out on for various reasons

  15. Upgraded from an iPhone 7 to the iPhone 11 as a birthday treat to myself in the week, still getting to grips on it but impressed so far. The only nitpicks I have are the address bar on the web browser being at the bottom of the screen, not having a home button and having to get used to holding the screen to swipe off apps and the fact that I had to buy a USB-C plug separate as Apple don’t provide plugs for their newer model phones these days

Monopoly Events have confirmed in one of their Facebook groups that Ted Dibiase SR has cancelled for the For the Love of Wrestling convention this weekend.

And to follow this Nick Aldis has had to pull out of his appearance at late notice and been replaced by AEW’s Anthony Ogogo for autos, photos, the Q&A in the Progress Zone and in the 8 man tag on the Futureshock show

  17. My mum just got Britbox as I’d bought her an Amazon Fire Stick for her birthday and they have every episode of Thunderbirds on there including the new ones done by the team behind the Supermarionation documentary from the original audio plays

There was also a brand new documentary put up last Thursday to celebrate Thunderbirds day all about Gerry Anderson which was a fascinating watch

  18. Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker - a cheesy 80s slasher about a budding basketball star getting mollycoddled by his aunt, who had raised him from the age of 3 after his parents died, and slowly descends into madness. It’s something that would be highly controversial these days due to the latent homophobia from one of the characters and the twist doesn’t really come as a shock by the end

  19. Monopoly Groups have announced a partnership with Progress Wrestling that will see a PROGRESS zone at next weekend’s For The Love Of Wrestling convention in Liverpool with meet and greets and Q&As with Progress talent and exclusive merchandise deals for attendees

This marks the second company link up for the convention as Futureshock Wrestling are running their second Future Breaks Convention show after Day 1, featuring an Invitational Battle Royal, convention guest Erick Redbeard facing Sonar Durson and an 8 man tag where Grado teams with Sinergy and Big Guns Joe to face Nick Aldis, Futureshock champion Damon Leigh and Tag Champions The Models

  20. Took up a sub to Shudder’s Amazon channel after seeing the offer talked about on here, made watching In Search of Darkness 2 my first watch on it. Really good follow up to the first documentary albeit it lengthy at just over 4.5 hours and featured quite a few titles I’d never heard of before
