I love Ricky Starks at the moment. He's a cocky fucking bloke and he makes it so cool. Proper confident lad.

Ricky turning face but keeping his character is how to do a turn right, something WWE failed with with Orton’s first face run in 05, Reigns for most of his face run (save for late 2015/early 2016 and his post cancer run) and the latter part of Rollins’ face run when paired with Becky and running scared of the Fiend

  2. First dinner done by my sister was a great success (well 75% her work, our mum done the Turkey, beef and gammon, the latter last night), was utterly stuffed after it

Started with tempura prawns which were massive and super crispy

The main event was the 3 meats with roasties, pigs in blankets, mushy and tinned peas, dauphinois potatoes, carrot and turnip mash, parsnips, broccoli and a Yorkshire pudding with gravy

Dessert was a slice of Costco chocolate fudge cake

Despite all that I’ve just had a Turkey butty and some left over gammon, beef and pigs as a late night snack cos why not it’s Christmas

Nevermind that shit, Marv takes a brick to the face from 3 stories multiple times. Even after one, he’s on that street a twitching husk of what used to be a human being at best

That’s after being briefly turned into a living skeleton in the first one

I feel a bit spoiled, I went to bloody loads of England games, starting with a 1-0 win against Hungary in 1990.

I also went to every single home game from Terry Venables debut (1-0 against Denmark) all the way through to the semi final loss in 96, apart from one game which was played up north somewhere.

I was lucky enough to get tickets through my sister playing for Brentford, but even before that it was quite easy to get tickets, especially 92-94 when England were a bit dreadful.

I'll never forget the first game though. Men just openly pissing up against walls and stairwells.

    "Where shall I go Dad?"

    "Anywhere mate"

    Proper stadium, proper football.

My Brother in law has a piece chipped off the old twin towers from when they decided to knock it down.

That would mostly likely be the 3-3 draw against Sweden played at Elland Road in Leeds

I’ve only managed to get to 3 England games at any level, two senior games at Anfield (spit) and an U21 qualifier at Goodison against Portugal notable for the fact that their front line that night was Ricardo Quaresma, Helder Postiga and one Cristiano Ronaldo while the England front line was Shola Ameobi and Franny Jeffers, who had just rejoined Everton on loan

There is a video of her in a pool where she is (at the very least) top half naked. Apparently that’s what was the final straw and got her fired.

Wasn’t just that, it was the pics in the shower with Tino as well, somehow word got out to Mattel, one of WWE’s main merch partners, and that’s what broke it

The whataboutism around this is dumb as well, digging out Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair for their ESPN shoots and bringing up the Saraya sex tape row again even though the former two were professionally done and tasteful and the latter was leaked as revenge porn essentially

If you like Toblerone the Poundland version (Twin Peaks) is good, they launched it when the real toblerones that they sold for £1 started to be silly with huuuuge gaps between chunks, they do about five flavours now and they're all good, especially the white one

On this Aldi have launched their own version under their Moser Roth brand with the hugely imaginative title of Swiss Mountain Chocolate Bar

I'll always have a soft spot for daft finishes that still make sense. I don't think anything will ever top Big Show losing a tables match because he stepped onto a table and it fell through.

There was another great one involving Show where Regal knocked him out with the brass knuckles only for Show to fall on top of him winning the match while not having a Scooby what was happening

  9. Got a lotta love for ‘The Natural’, behind Sting he was my favourite baby face in early 90s WCW and I loved a fair bit of his Goldust runs, apart from his weird ‘Artist’ phase. Him and Cody were a great baby face act as a team until they turned Cody into Stardust and their match in AEW was an utter masterpiece in emotions

  10. Echo the love for Bean, Blackadder and Ted, must watches every year for me

I’m a fan of animated specials so stuff like the Rankin Bass cartoons, The Snowman, the Mr Hanky episodes of South Park, the Peanuts specials and the original How The Grinch Stole Christmas are must watch

  11. Used to enjoy a good long soak in the bath reading either a magazine or a graphic novel but I much prefer a shower, especially after a long day in work just to refresh myself more efficiently

  12. First time in a few years I’m not working Christmas Eve with it falling on a Saturday (I only do Mon-Fri) so I’m spending the morning with my mum, sister and oldest niece (my BIL is staying at home minding my youngest niece) having buffet breakfast at a local pub before we pick up our traditional Christmas food order from M&S

The big day itself is being spent at my sister’s for the first time and she’s cooking the dinner (well the sides anyway, mum’s still cooking the turkey, beef and gravy at home and carving them) and I believe my cousin, her husband, my nephews, her sister and my other niece are coming for lunch as well or at least after it so it should be a fun, mad house of a day

  13. The past two nights I’ve been on a WarGames kick after Survivor Series so decided to fire up the Network and put on some WCW events that had WarGames matches as main events

Monday I put on Fall Brawl 93 which had Sting, Davey Boy, Dustin Rhodes and Shockmaster v Sid, Vader and Harlem Heat in the double cage but also had a great Ric Flair v Rick Rude match on the undercard for the Big Gold Belt

Last night I put on Wrestle War 91 which had a WarGames match of Sting, Flyin’ Brian and the Steiners v Flair, Barry Windham, Sid and Larry Zbyszko that’s infamous for Sid trying to power bomb Pillman and dropping him on his neck because the cage roof was too low and also had a big ol’ hossfight between Stan Hansen and Vader

definitely Primark for me as well - always massive, always busy, always ridiculously understaffed,

I can partially explain this bit, at least from my store’s perspective and in general.

Back in September the company went through an overhaul changing the management order so that instead of one main manager, a few department managers and section supervisors on each floor, they decided to move to having 1-2 floor managers and then have operations managers who flitter between floors to answer till enquiries (like changing incorrect pricing, price checks or to solve issues with returns) and doing away with supervisors.

In order to do this, managers and Supervisors were offered the chance to apply for the new roles, offered a redundancy package or be asked to drop back to being floor staff like the rest of us on reduced hours leading to many taking the redundancy and leaving

As far as floor staff go, the stores tend to employ a lot of Uni/College students who either can’t take on extra hours in the week or refuse to do any, they also (at least in my place) put more focus on hiring for weekends when on certain days weekday afternoons are where extra help is needed

    Its definitely Primark for me.

    Always too crowded.

No one puts anything back where it should be so trying to find a particular product or size is a fucking nightmare.

The sizing is all over the place but that's just a complaint about clothing in general really.

Second place goes to anywhere that has staff that actively asks me if I need help with anything. IF I NEEDED HELP I WOULD ASK. FUCK OFF.

And they're never around when I do want help. Arseholes.

Welcome to my every day, on quiet days it’s not so bad but once it hits Thursday and Friday I won’t be able to tidy one of my denim tables without pulling out rolled up tops, underwear, soft toys, shoes, make up or worse drink cups. That’s if the table itself hasn’t been pulled apart, despite all the product being in size order

Keeping on topic, I’ve really grown to dislike CEX over the last couple of years, their trade in valuations are getting worse, their insistence on reprinting covers for movies and games but still charging the same price as the legit ones is criminal and their mark ups on boutique titles are insane, especially when HMV are selling brand new copies for cheaper, case in point they had a copy of the Indicator release of Brian De Palma’s Body Double marked up at £38 at one point, I bought it for £5 brand new off the Indicator website during their sale last month while Amazon and HMV had it around the £15-18 mark

So was it a proper Wargames match or one of those roofless ones? I love a Wargames match so I'm tempted to subscribe for it but they're not getting my tenner if they haven't put a roof on it.

None of WWE’s WarGames matches have been under roofed cages, makes it better imo, especially for crazy high spots

Eye bleeding shite? That's what that game felt like. USA were good but England brought absolutely nothing. I was looking forward to sitting down to a Friday night game but yeah, that was pish from an entertainment point of view. Maybe it's because the last 2 World Cups were so fun but this one seems like it's had a ton of 0-0s already.

Tonight’s game was the fifth, there were only two in the whole of Russia 2018, I put most of them down to being in an early slot but the England game was a typical Southgate preservation shit show so who knows
