I think if the question was to be asked differently and you asked which of the following strikers would you buy if you had to buy one of them I'm not sure Kane would be top of the list.

    Kane
    Mbappe
    Lewandowki
    Haaland
Benzema (I've put him in there because his numbers are still impressive, almost 1 goal in 2 games at club level).

I think that's a completely different thing as he can't have the same upside and longterm value as a Haaland or Mbappe purely because of age.

If my team needed a striker from now until the end of the season I would go for Lewandowski and  I would be tempted to have Kane after that.

  3. This might be unpopular but Chinos. Used to hate them and think they look uncomfortable but in my current job they are a god send. Much more comfortable than trousers and allow for a greater variety of colours.

  4. Enter the Void immediately  comes to mind. The out of body point of view makea for a superb experience but when I rewatched it a 2nd time it felt cheesy and a lot of the acting is shit.

Those things are minor turn offs, what makes it unwatchable is the out of body camera angle gives me motion sickness so it won't be brought out again.

To be fair, that's what I meant by 'pretty restrictive measures', I don't expect Christmas will be 'cancelled' but at the same time it pretty clearly can't just be a 'week off' from Covid. Public health has to come above turkey dinners no matter how unpopular that might be. A significant proportion of the population will absolutely ignore whatever guidance is in place either way, and the government will hopefully account for that in whatever they plan for, but at least if there are detailed and specific rules like you've suggested then that would make it easier for me to say to my family that I don't think it's going to be worth taking the chance for the sake of a Christmas that just isn't going to feel right.

Exactly my thoughts. Plenty will do what they want regardless but any actual attempt to 'cancel' Christmas would be the straw that broke the camels back regarding adhering to the rules for millions.

I'm not going to feel comfortable seeing families at Christmas no matter what restrictions are lifted beforehand. It just won't be the same meeting up with the worry that we could be contributing to the spread of the virus. I don't know what we're going to do yet but I would actually prefer the government to go for the tough love approach and insist on pretty restrictive measures staying in place as that would remove any awkwardness and guilt of disappointing family by not traveling to see them this year.

I think any tough love approach will be completely disregarded my a significant proportion of the population TBH. I think a detailed and specific set of guidance limiting contact might be more effective.

Meltzer is in the same bracket as Cornette for me these days.

Great sources for historical information but have no time for them outside of that. Just a pair of weird old twats getting trolled over pretend fighting.

As much as Meltzers annoys me I see a clear difference to him and Cornette. Meltzer is easily and often antagonised and is irritating because of his response to that. Cornette is deliberately and often antagonistic and is unbearable because of that.

Batman: White Knight comes to mind for me. Released 2017-18 and is 8 issues. Written and drawn by Sean Phillips and its gorgeous to look at.

The basic premise is Joker becomes sane. Its a stand alone but does have 1 spin off finished and another one just being released. Would highly recommend. If I remember correctly you can get a deluxe edition now if you want spend a bit extra.

I listened to Foley's 'Have a Nice Day' audiobook this week having not read the book in over a decade, and I forgot how up his own arse as an 'artist' Foley came across. You were  agreeing to take stupid risks with your body for a company that clearly didn't give a shit about you in WCW, having punch kick brawls with 60 year old Terry Funk with womens tights on his head, and getting chucked off a cage, not working on War & Peace mate.

I'm scared to read it again as I loved it the for a few years when it came out and I just know I will find Foley insufferable now.

TUF’s coming back then. Not sure if Dana said when filming starts but I’m guessing it’ll be fairly soon. Was meant to be Adesanya and Costa coaching leading into their fight but obviously that never ended up happening. Who do we reckon will coach?

Looking at the divisions and how things are currently, I’ve got a feeling it’ll be coached by Welterweights. Either Usman vs Burns or Covington vs Masvidal. They’re both big fights that have been in the pipeline seemingly forever now but it’s gone mysteriously quiet on both fronts. Given the choice there, you’ve got to assume the UFC will be all over a Colby vs Jorge season. Both gobshites, both have their share of fans and haters, and there’s the history of them being friends turned enemies. The fight was supposedly being targeted for December at one point but like I said, it got all quiet. As much as I love the Usman vs Burns pairing, it doesn’t scream TUF does it? Incredible fighters and the matchup itself is brilliant but I don’t see them providing the bang as coaches that the revival of tired old TUF needs.

Saw this on Twitter earlier. Fan made of course but it just looks right. It’s going to happen isn’t it.

Could work out nicely for Welterweight as well. Let Usman and Burns battle it out for the title. Then by the time that’s settled, have the winner of Covington vs Masvidal come in with the TUF build against whoever the champ is. Should keep 170 ticking over most of next year.

Covington vs Masividal will be horrendous viewing as I think they are the 2 active fighters I dislike the most. Unfortunately because they are a pair of throbbing bellends I will likely find it must watch as well.
