  1. Seen it years ago on a video from a trader. From what I remember Heenan was funny, Madusa came off as to mouthy, Sting was dull as fuck and Piper was his typical attention seeking clown self. Is this accurate?

Yep that's prerty much spot on. Heenan came across well, Sting came across like he didn't want to be there and Piper was cringey

  2. I've only met a couple of people who use Herbalife an there both obnoxious hipsters. One of them is a guy who goes to my gym who I never strike up a conversation with and have never met outwith the gym but he has told me on atleast 6 occasions how much it had improved his life. Arsehole.

  3. I actually have never liked Piper as I didn't start watching till about 93 so he was out his prime by that point. But that Kayfabe stuff is scary, I can only imagine he was off his nut during that interview and he thought that would garner intrest. He seems absolutely frazzled at this point in his life.

  4. Flair is so much more humble and likeable on his own podcast, it stuns me this is the same guy who came off so overbearing and obnoxious on those Legends Roundtable shows.

Anyway, just to drop this here rather than create a thread for it, the latest Squared Circle Gazette Radio is up, as we talk from January to March of 1997 in our Monday Night War Timeline. Accompanied as always by inside notes from the Wrestling Observer Newsletters of the time, the panel discusses all the key talking points such as the frantic state of the WWF Title, Thursday Raw Thursday, nWo Souled Out, the awesome story of Austin and Bret, Roddy Piper's tryouts, shoot promos galore, Sting finally reveals his true colours, and much more. With all the backstory behind the decision-making at the time, this was another really fun show - check it out and let me know what you think!

Good timing as I was looking for something to listen too. I like the notes from the time as it's very intresting to hear the rumours and how things where received at the time. I was actually surprised at some of the matches that where getting the higher viewer ratings such as Malenko vs Eddie. It makes it harder to accept that they didn't do more with the cruiserweight a when the numbers even that early on showed they where a huge draw.

  5. I avoided Flair's podcast until I seen the positive feedback on hear and the 2 I've listened to are fantastic. I listened to Austins podcast with Axl Rotten and I hate too rag on some one who is down on his luck but he came across as delusional with his I'm a good wrestler pish. I've seen the matches he put forward as examples and the all shite.
